  1. I have a pile of cardboard boxes broken down at work, that you can have. And you can borrow my tape gun to put them back together. I'll have to pick them up on Saturday, I'm on the bike today.

  2. Yes. There will be more. I've noticed several places out East are now gone. Small businesses that haven't survived. The economy has finally caught up with them. Tax structure for small business will not allow more than about 2 years of losses, or averaging of the last five years. Either way, no profit, no business. Even my local post office is closing...
  3. hahaha dork... and not at 1am in the morning either...
  4. Good question. No answer. I questioned a couple of the others listed. It came from a definitive website of Columbus Nightclubs. Apparently some one's definition of a biker bar isn't the same as ours. Sounds like it doesn't include bikes or bikers to qualify. I think I'll delete that part of the list, it's stupid.
  5. Friday the 30th is Art's Shallowtail playing at Arlington Cafe at 9:30pm. I can go to Hillard early, but probably want to go see Art and gang play for a while. I won't bother with Hillard if no one else is going. We'll see what happens. Main reason to get out is that it should be warm Friday night, followed by a rainy weekend. 70 to 80 F on Friday night. Rain beginning around Saturday noon and continuing off and on and heavy at times, through Sunday evening, or Sunday night, or Monday morning.
  6. Most metric cruiser dudes I know like: Yamaha Star the best - it's the first choice Honda for reliability and everything else that makes Honda good Suzukis for price - (not as reliable) Dunno what to say about the Kawasakis, other than they are probably fast When you start buying cruisers, you won't be happy out on the highway, till you get up around 1100cc to 1800cc. They weight a lot, and need the extra power/displacement. If it were me, I'd get the Vulcan. Newer, faster, owned by a tech, and name sounds neater.
  7. The Judge has been around for a while. I've heard they aren't very accurate. Close range only, I'd say. Dunno, maybe rent one at a range and find out.
  8. At 14 feet or less the knife can win... just sayin'
  9. A mile is a lot around campus, One place I lived was a few blocks South of Hudson on 4th. I got lots of stories about anywhere I lived on campus. Dang wild west if you ask me. Moved away as soon as I could. Campus is a nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there.

  13. Twice I've seen cars sail through red lights, right in front of me. One cruised the front bumper of a VW bug full of screaming kids. How it missed them I don't know, it was close. And the other cruised the front bumper of me and the guy in the other lane. For some reason, we both hesitated when the light turned green. The guy running the light just missed both of us, and had to quick pull over and clean out his pants. Ok, three times. One was when all the traffic lights were out. Gal behind me got pissed because I was stopping or nearly stopping at all the non-functioning lights. She passed me only to have a car sail through the next intersection, barely missing her. She started stopping at the lights that weren't working... duh...
  14. US Army. I turned a line commission down to gtfo of going to Vietnam on a more permanent basis (dead). I've been out for a long time. I figured you are military. I think a good number of us on here are.
  15. Great pics, I like great photographers. And about that wishing a soldier dead... even a joke... Soldiers respect other soldiers, even the enemy. And we tolerate our fellow soldiers saying "I'll kill you", but no one else. It's part of the job, as it were. But we don't like to hear it from anyone else. It makes us a bit angry... just info...
  16. Sometimes I think I go just to see the rush of people leaving when the sun goes down. You know, the ones with only a temp license and a $20,000 garage queen. Actually, sometimes I don't show up till after they've left...
  17. Bonus question answer = http://www.j-walk.com/other/wifispray/
  18. I don't have a diet plan. But somewhere around age 35 I decided to try to give up ice cream, donuts, and most fried foods (french fries). Ten years later, I decided to get away from red meat and cheese. When soft drinks went to liter, then 2 liter, I quit drinking carbonated sugar. Lately I sometimes eat straight up vegetarian and skip the meat altogether. Now when I do want to eat/drink these things, I don't pay a price. I still don't eat enough fruit in my diet, I'm bad...
  19. what the hell is a Marshmallow Matey... nm, I googled...
  20. That's weird... I'd be putting a motion detection camera in there...
  21. lol, wut? I have twice that for breakfast, and 4 times that for lunch. Dinner varies, but generally 3 to 4 times that. Target for me should be about 2600-3000 calories a day, for being active. I hit over 4000 easily, on many days. And I don't gain any weight. But I will skip meals (dinner), and have a snack instead, to adjust the actual physical results. A snack would probably be at least 500 calories. Call me hyper...
  22. Epic... but experience says that those caustic chemicals are no fun if they don't work. You wind up with having to work in and around the mess to continue trying to fix it. Power tools. A power snake, and run it back and forth when you think you've hit the clog. Sometimes more than once. That power wet/dry vac can actually pull everything back out of a line, if you can get the other pipes and vents blocked off. I've actually gone on the roof and taped a bathroom vent shut while I worked.
  23. Shouldn't have to change any parts to make it run right. If it's never been modified. Unless something is obviously broken or worn out. It does sound like carbs need cleaned, but don't forget the air filter also. And it might be a good idea to check the timing, if it's adjustable. I'm living in the dark ages with that, but if it has carbs, I figure it might have adjustable timing. When I read the title, I thought "wants work on computer"... no, wait, that's not right...
  24. I t looks good. Like it was made for the bike, duh... I've tried both bungies and straps. I kinda think straps stay put better. Both will rub paint anyway. I haven't checked my tank cover straps to see if they have worn the paint.
  25. I'm pretty sure you'll never forget the differences between the South and here. I grew up in Texas, Florida and New Jersey. But Ohio is alright. Welcome
