  1. Get those 3999 beers and we'll be there...
  2. nah, it's just that attention span thing... works really well for a while and then, oh look...
  3. gpz500, ninja 500R, and EX500 footpegs are all the same from 1987 and up, from what I'm reading. I don't think any of them were adjustable either. Here's the MFW Vario aftermarket kit (German) to drop the pegs. Adjustable by changing the vertical part. Two drop lengths available for front pegs. Three parts each side, total $140 / pair. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/4693/139/

    Help!

Solder is the word, not weld. I've used silver solder and a torch to fix small stuff. Any good radiator shop can do a busted seam and pressure test it. Hopefully it's not plastic, that's no fun.
  5. Maybe the gpz500 front pegs are adjustable and fit up. Saw that on ex500 forum, but can't confirm. Maybe the previous owner put that on there. Don't know, can't see it from here. There are aftermarket front pegs for adjustable, but pricey at 175 bucks.

  7. Let's point out that if you are selling a bike that has a lien, you actually want some one to buy the bike from the bank. Otherwise, you are still responsible for the payments, insurance, and liabilities that occur, regardless of promises made. And remember, that your bank won't take counterfeit money, a third party check, or checks from princes of third world countries. You shouldn't either. Let them pay the bank and you won't have to deal with that either.
  8. Correct, I bought it from the bank. The bank owned it. Anything else would have been wasting time and money. But the owner/operator of the vehicle has to be there to allow it to happen. It was very easy, actually. I did not need nor want a bill of sale. Actually having the legal title was good enough for me. I did have blank copies of bill of sale with me in case I needed to use them.
  9. I just bought one on lien. We went to his credit union, I paid it off with a bank transfer check (cashier's check). The credit union transferred and notarized the title to me. Leaving only for me going to the BMV and getting a new title, registration, and plates. I would not have done it without getting that bank transferred and notarized title.
  10. Check the length against the one you took off. If they are the same, the routing isn't right. Common problem, happens a lot. There should be a description or diagram in the service manual.
  11. Aniket says he has the motor torn down to work on a 1000cc version.
  12. Some things happen slowly here. Half the people applying for anything will probably find jobs before anything happens.
  13. Ditto the Yamaha scoot - but no highway.
  14. Don't know which software might be used, I can ask. Resumes run through the Human Resources first, but most all make it to the areas for review by management. My experience, if the cover letter says what you said, that the job sounds almost exactly the same, it will get an invite for an interview. I've done that.
  15. Sorry, I didn't see this yesterday. The job is in the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation, part of Institutional Advancement. They maintain the on-line learning content on the web, and develop and investigate future trends in technology and learning. A pretty laid back group, but they have their deadlines. You can imagine, we have a ton of on-line classes. They are interacted through a global campus, CougarWeb and BlackBoard interface, that students and teachers submit, display, and discuss with. This is actively used for all classes, but vital to the on-line classes. It will include announcements, discussions, chat, docs, sound, visual, a grading interface, etc. I think a lot of the job will be dealing with that on a daily basis. They also create new webpages for posting on the website. Sometimes includes videos and sound bits. They have the gear and editing capabilities. They maintain and support: Blackboard DL Calendar Faculty Request LD Resources Blackboard FAQs DL Knowledge Base Faculty Briefing Archives I do tech support in that area. It's some of the best gear on campus, especially the Macs. It's a small group, 12 cubicles or desks with maybe 8 full time and a bunch of part time. Maybe 20 total in the area. You need to know that CSCC is a state job, in that your social security will be lost, and the Ohio retirement for teachers and workers takes it's place. Some people say the medical, and retirement medical is really good, but it's always changing everywhere.
  16. That's what we used in aviation to clean hydraulic tubing prior to using it. The room for doing that had extra special fume removal gear. Didn't matter, everyone that worked in that room died from working there. Doesn't matter what age they were, they were all dead long ago. The rest of us didn't want to even walk past that place.

  18. Oddly, I will weave also. It seems to attract attention. Also, I will aim right for the driver. That really gets attention. It tends to freeze people while they process the information their brain is sending them. Maybe it's something primal, about having an object come straight at you. I don't know for sure. But I'll do it to people turning left at intersections, to make sure they see me. edit: btw, you really don't want to know how many people that are driving, have bad eyesight, or no depth perception, or aren't wearing their glasses, etc etc... They tend to hang around in the back of packs of cars, driving slower. Don't ask me how I know this...
  19. ummm, who needs the glasses? That's the turn signal lense that is taped on. I can't live without duct tape and scotch tape and zip ties and....
  20. Maybe he should strap a mattress to each side of that bike... just sayin'... (mattress joke)
  21. Here's an mp3 for them, 4k, I can get 250,000 of them in one meg of storage space. Or 250 million in one gig of storage space. quick fart mp3 crap, I can't link to it... oh well,, it's the thought that counts... edit: to give you an idea of what I'm talking about... let's say it takes one second each, to remotely check and discard the examination of one of these tiny fake files. It would take 8 years to search my one gig folder...
  22. Soooo, none of you know how to encrypt a file or folder? It's time to learn... Or for fun, make a folder that clearly says music, and put a large quantity of fake files in it of tiny size... all blank or nearly so... all mp3 of course...
  23. For tub drains, I use a powerful wet/dry vac and a wet rag to seal, and slurp it all out. Seems to work well and quickly. Might have to dig some out, but it gets it up there where you can do that.
  24. Ok, the only other thing I got is to try aviation supply stores. They might stock stuff like that also, or they would know who does. Pricey to buy from places like that though. I remember using some for a hydraulic testing rig.
