    I have the cortech sport bags and I've been to Sturgis and back twice with them with zero scuffs but I have seen threads before where guys used tape under their bags.

    My bags have foam pad on back never had a problem with them scuffing paint. If you want to use tape I'd suggest painters tape over duct tape much easier to remove.

    Welcome Do yourself a favor and don't get involved in any large group rides until you have racked up some seat time. A large group ride and an eager new rider can end bad. Always remember to ride your own ride and never try to keep up with someone unless you are 150% comfortable with the pace. Stay safe and enjoy

    This is very true Doc if you guys have the info you really need to consider turning him in. I wouldn't want it on my conscience that he killed a rider and knowing that I could have possibly stopped him. Glad you guys are ok.... yet another reason why I'm always armed
