  1. Nope. I'm a lefty, always over. It bothers me so much to be under that if I'm in a public place or someone's house, I'll switch it. Glad it's not needed it often outside of my home.
  2. Correct. Couch acoustics make all the difference. Thanks for the info, and yes, I've played out. It's been 7 or 8 years, but my old band played originals for a year or so, campus bars and such, actually got to play Alrosa once. 1 guitarist and the drummer have been in bands before, drummer played for OSU's pep band. So we have a little stage experience. Now the other guitar player is yakking in the bathroom before open mics. Looks like we have a few shows lined up, March 5th and tentatively April 10th and the Dolphin Lounge. Guy from my old band booked shows without having enough material to play the entire slot, so we're going to split a 4 hour set. I'll post details in a few days when I find out more. I know the 5th is for sure, may have a conflict with the 10th.
  3. Thanks everyone. Hwilli, bands are fun. You should get back in it. No big negatives though? That's what I really want to hear about, it's how we get better.
  4. I want a hoody. Maybe I would get one if I did the artwork I told Fonz I would do in the summer. I fail.
  5. Earache, thanks! I know I still have lots of work to do, but I'll let the others know they need to get on it even harder. hmm, A rare post from Oomp, we must be doing something a little right to drag Scott from his hidey-hole.
  6. Thanks, that's awesome. Can I save that offer for a real gig though? Don't worry about it tomorrow, it could be bad.
  7. Alright, my band Shallowtail has some rough cuts of a few of our cover songs posted. http://shallowtail.com/ Don't make fun of my piss poor website, this was a ten minute job just to get these posted. Here's a Facebook Page for a bit more info, not a lot to announce right now. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shallowtail/220804803217?v=wall&ref=nf Anyway, these were done just as a demo, recorded in my basement, one take each. They have not been mastered or anything. Just trying to get something out there so we can find a gig or two. Would like to get some feedback, good and bad. We work hard, getting opinions let us know what to work even more on. There are for sure flaws in each song and we realize it, but we're tired of hiding in the practice room so we're throwing them out.
  8. Uh, no. Forgot. I get so busy I barely have time to pee. If someone needs help with it, I would happy to though.

  9. I had a hearing impaired friend in college. He had a bed that would shake when his alarm would go off. I always thought it was cool.
  10. Another thing. If an east coast trip sounds interesting, we could hit up Laconia for a day or two:

    http://www.laconiamcweek.com/aboutus.htm

Not quite our scene, but one of those things we should check out. Hell, I may have Harley by then. Thinking of going to the Dark Side. :)

Last trip I did anywhere from 400-700 miles a day. 4-500 is good day, get places, but still have time to piss around.

Also if Florida is an option, I have a place to crash if needed. My Mom and step dad bought a house in Sebring, about an hour south of Orlando. They don't even live there yet, available for us to crash at for sure. I haven't been there yet, I know I have to this summer at one time or another. It's pretty centralized, easy to get anywhere in the state from.

  11. I've always wanted to go to Glacier. For sure an option. I've also been thinking of a coastal route. Take 55 south, follow the blues route for a day or so, go east along the gulf (which is a nice), and then head north from FL to however far we can make it, Vermont is not out of the question. That interest you at all? I figure we went west last year, might as well hit up all the east coast states and get them checked off the map this year. :) No idea yet really, not much of a planner, and I guess we need to know dates. I also am hesitant to jump in on a group trip where everything is planned to the T and reservations are made. I like having a rough idea, and then just winging it. I'm not out for Glacier by any means though.

  12. Affirmative. I am driving, I can take 1 person, Yota mentioned riding with me, not sure if he still is. I can take 2 if someone small can squeeze onto the back jump seat in my truck, but I don't recommend it for 2 hours. What time we leavin' ?
  13. The minidump gives me this: Probably caused by : ntkrnlpa.exe ( nt+22f43 ) A quick google search tells me it may be a NIC. I'll research some more.
  14. All Service Packs updated. I will try the ram to see if that solves it. Here are the error codes if someone knows how to interpret them: BCCode : 19 BCP1 : 00000020 BCP2 : E1C3FD70 BCP3 : E1C3FDB8 BCP4 : 0C090407 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 3_0 Product : 768_1
  15. No set time or action triggers it. It will happen when I'm working with both connections, and when it is idle and only the wireless connection.
  16. Yes, that is how it is setup. When the peripheral equipment(It is a router/ engraver, kinda like what you see cut rims on the auto shows) is off, the connection is disconnected, and I still get the errors.
  17. Okay here is what I have. We needed to add a PC to run a machine in the backroom at work. Our hardwired network did not have a connection in this room, so I got wireless NIC for it, we already had the router. (Linksys router WRT54GS, NIC is WMP54G). This connection is only for internet and very limited file transfer. Also, the new equipment needs to be connected to the PC via Ethernet, so I used the on board controller, no problems there. OS is XP home with SP3( had an copy of home, was just trying to be nice and save my boss a few bucks rather than buying pro), I can post hardware specs if necessary. Everything works fine, but I do keep getting Blue Screens, and they are coming from the network connections. First it was a TCP IP BSoD, repalced the file, and ran this patch that people have seemd to have luck with- http://www.lvllord.de/ worked fine, but now I get Bad Pool Header BSoDs. Any suggestions? It appears to be driver related, and I have updated every single driver on this PC. It is a new build and I did have small hiccup installing the wireless NIC. Of course being a guy and a somewhat competent computer nerd I didn't read every instruction, so I threw the NIC in as I was assembling the PC. I then noticed in the setup for the LInksys NIC, software should be installed first, so I uninstalled it, ran C Cleaner to clear any left over registry info, and then reinstalled following the linksys instructions. It works fine, and I am using XP to control this NIC rather than the accompaning software. I also remember hearing that dual NICs can be troublesome, could the BSoD be coming from that? Let me know if you have any suggestions or fixes. Thanks!
  18. If you are shooting dark concerts or weddings, the 24-70 may be the way to go, but the IS on the 24-105 makes up some of the aperture loss. IS is real nice, especially when you only have one shot at photo.
  19. From what I have heard about it, fun, great for shows, and is especially family and/ or couple oriented. My friend that lives in MO said it is pretty unique, I don't see any reason for you not to stop and at least check it out. I would say it may be worth a stop for day, but I'm not sure about a few. I almost stopped myself when I was out that way over the summer, but it was a little off my planned route.
  20. Roadhouse is cool, I went late, missed most of the band. For sure seems like a good place for a bike night or OR meat up.
  21. This is a thread full of rock steady commitment. Who is in? I'm pretty sure I'm going to come. Slept all day and getting a second wind.
  22. hmmm... I'm a maybe. I was up all night last night, if I have any energy, I'll come over.
  23. I'm in for bowling on Sawmill at any time. Unless I have something else to do. Or I fall asleep Or I just feel stressed. Seriously though, I love to bowl and am always looking for an excuse to break out my stylin' shoes, and Sawmill Lanes is 5 minutes from my house. I may even try out the Wii bowling event if I can make it that night.
  24. I can't find the thread we talking about a trip on. Don't even remember if it was here or facebook. Fail.

Anyway, I would camp on a short trip 2-3 days. As much pain as I was in the last long trip, I think I need a bed at night. I ended up shipping my gear back halfway through because I knew there was no way my back could take a night on the ground.
