I considered that option especially after my nephew bought one last year. After riding his I thought that would be a good next step but not being able to pull a clutch all day kept me from going that route. You are correct though, there are some great deals out there on them.
I have a new to me bike, just bought it today. CBR will be for sale sometime this year after I get around to washing it.
I hope to get back to riding a lot more this year, now I have to with a new bike.
Not sure what's going on here but surely @Tonik can't be the only one with grievances about how certain group rides take place. Why does he get to be the only whiner?
I personally don't have a problem with a group of ten riders as long as the sweep rider knows the route and is the same level rider as the lead guy. I took a few years off from riding lead in a group (with the exception of small sections of road that I liked) and never once knew the route but then I didn't need to since the lead guy knew how to handle the group properly.
Just about any level rider can be expected to show up for a publicly posted group ride unless the posted pace specifically excludes their abilities. Even then a ride descriptor is subject to interpretation and by the first gas stop an outlier should be clearly identified. A fast pace for a long time seasoned rider is different for a one or two year rider. I've made many concessions for riders that didn't fit in with the group and if you are unwilling or unable to figure out how to handle such situations maybe you shouldn't be making group rides public or trying to lead them.
I'm not sure about the goat path between 536 and 255. Safe bet would be to take 7 between 536 and 255. Other than that it is a kick ass route.
Caution on 255 if headed south there are two jumps on the road and one of them forces you into the other lane.
I kinda identify as a trollop but incontinent is taking this over the edge. Why you gotta be so mean? If you don't cool your jets Tonik will find a way to ruin all the fun like he does with so many other things.
Cost of ownership is of some concern for me too. However between my two current choices there is a forty horsepower disparity. I NEED those extra ponies.
WTF guys, can't I have a little fun? You saved him way too soon. It's fun to watch the noobs squirm a little, especially with the stupid shit I linked him to.
Never mind me, I'll just go fuck off and die.
This new group ride criteria is trying to be implemented. Your cooperation with adhering to these guidelines will greatly determine how successful the new program will be.
Please don't screw this up for the rest of us.
