  1. I was even at NeXXt last year.
  2. We now have a Zuk guy in here claiming they are better than Hondas, nice. I was in the Buell thread for a while with the Honda win.
  3. That was not what I expected to happen when I started watching.
  4. ...to crab apples in a bean your brother in the head yard fight. They are also superior to black walnuts and monkey balls. Dirt clods come close but supplies are sometimes hard to come by.
  5. Ha, I am scared now I certainly don't need to change the gearing. I expect to be in 1st gear most of the time down in Coshocton. My 600 had stock gearing I can't imagine making a 1000 drive harder, not gonna fit my riding style.
  6. Are the 2009s taped and clear coated? Are there more differences between the 08 & 09?
  7. This is a steal, I paid $5,100 for an enclosed 6 x 12 trailer last year and I can't stand up in mine.

Don't you know studding your tires can kill you?
  9. ^^ Did you buy 2009 wheels or tape them. I like.
  10. I'm not sure it doesn't work quite like the yoyodyne slipper clutch I had in my track bike but it works as well as the slipper in my old ZX6RR. It might work better but I haven't really tested it yet. I haven't checked the tire pressures or set any of the suspension to my liking. I know for me the shock is the weak link because right now it doesn't like to be unsettled leaned over.
  11. "some other automaker's less feline than those we've already tried" Ha ha big pussies
  12. Slipper clutch stock & mine is the more awesome’er 2008 Garrett already has me committed to a Gap trip next year, I would have loved to make the last one but I didn't have a bike. The whole Buell thread got me started on a new bike now, I was going to wait until next spring.
  13. I hope so, I was riding with you on 26 when I had my only ugh-oh moment last year when we rode with Big Speazy the day it rained and Doomking went home early. Down hill left hander guard rails everywhere.
  14. That is not me, I don't know how that rumor got started. I usually rock the gear. I did trade the blue ninja 250 in on the new Honda, it's one of the reasons I made the deal. They gave me $1,500 for the ninja and we only paid $1,300 for it. My girlfriend actually bought it but didn't take to it and was through with it. I have a healthy respect for it but am afraid it will speed me into a situation too fast. I don't ever want a 1K track bike because of the speed. I have been lucky on the 600 when I got in too hot, it was time to stop braking and make the turn hoping I had scrubbed off enough speed. This thing will certainly get me in more of those situations. Not that it happens often in fact only once this year on 26 did I have a moment where I thought that could have been bad. I would have rather had a 600 I think but I did kill the last one driving it around close to red line for hours in southern Ohio. This one should last longer if it doesn't end up putting me in a ditch.
  15. First post has been edited to fix the camera that doesn't take pictures. I already have the bags and pack rack just need the L-brackets. http://www.ventura-bike.com/fitments.aspx?modelid=979 Lots of storage if you put two bags together. Tony, I will be ready for a ride this spring. What's up with new bike fever in the fall, Garrett and Tony? Congrats to both of you on your new bikes also.
  16. Some of you guys might have heard already because I posted it in the Buell thread. I figured I should not mess up that thread with more of my Honda pictures. I test rode the bike last Wednesday, bought it Saturday and rode it home today. 2008 CBR1000RR dealer demo with 2,800 miles new bike warranty started Saturday. WOW is all I can say after riding it around some today. I am starting to think I might have made a mistake buying a 1K, this thing scares me. I have owned a CBR1100XX, Busa and a ZX12R so I am somewhat used to bikes that are capable of going fast but this is different fast I'm afraid it's going to get me into trouble. I really liked my old 600 it wasn't fast enough to get me into trouble and it was kind of fun to ride a slow bike fast. Now I have a fast bike and I'm afraid to ride it fast. If I could have gotten a similar deal on a 600 I would have bought one but I only paid $6,500 for this bike I don't know of too many better deals out there for a sport bike. I don't have a digital camera except for the one in my phone so no pictures. I am going to find a rack to mount my bags to it but I think the whole baby thing will be retired.
  17. I might be just a mouth breather but how would anyone get ahead if we all were paid more? Kind of like we would all get ahead if we didn't pay any taxes, not gonna happen. Now if I quit paying taxes or made more money I would get ahead but if we all quit paying taxes or made more money our standard of living would remain the same. This is why some people educate themselves or learn a trade so they can better their standard of living.

I hope they work out for you; some people don't like the bulk of having the tape stick out so far from their bodies. The scissor only holders were made to fit about a dozen different old scissors we bought to make the holder to, now we are finding they don't fit some of the newer ones. We are probably going to package them with a pair of scissors that fit.

Have you been able to ride the bike yet?
  20. I would doubt you can still find a HD dealership that still sells Jap bikes side by side with HDs. This is one of the reasons HD dealerships are in such trouble, HD mandated that their dealers be HD dealers only in the same building, they also wanted the dealerships within some much distance from a highway. The new buildings are putting a stress on cash flow with this downturn in the economy. Sometimes big businesses are their own worst enemies.
  21. thats a stellar rate! my heloc is actually lower than my first right now. that was unheard of before. The rate is tied into the one year T-bill plus 1.125% rounded up to the next 0.125% with a 6% cap plus or minus from 7.25% & 2% per year. If the rate ever goes over the 7.25% that I originated the loan at I will most likely pay the house off but that will depend on how much my invested money is making at that time. Listen to your accountants.
  22. Congrats Tony. Let the mods begin, I'm looking for a new baby carrier.

Hey, are you guys trying to drift this thread back on topic? This is now a Honda thread. Go Big Red!!!
  24. I love my adjustable mortgage I'm at 2.125% right now. If it weren’t for the maximum 2% shift per year I would be at the minimum 1.25%. Kawasaki raised the price of their ZX10R by $1,200 this year. This was part of my decision to buy now, when things turn around prices are going to be high.

Don't worry though there is still plenty of time left in the year to buy me a bike if you want to claim two on your taxes. It just would have to be a new one. Have you finally got your man and bike back home or his he still up here messing around with Udell?
