  1. I can't help but wonder how my life would have been different if I were black Tod. Thanks for putting that in my head Justin.

Any bike that you're not riding is a turd. Some more so than others. Hang out a little while longer and you'll figure that out.
  3. You guys are determined to get me to shift gears. Second is too fast. A few things I forgot. When I started riding yesterday I wasn't really liking the vague feel of the front end but this way due to the throttle picking it up coming out of the corners. I couldn't figure out my entry speeds with the new bike, (different engine noise, different wind noise) so I kept getting the feeling I left a lot of speed in that corner so I would just get on the throttle which brought the front up making it feel not so planted. Once I got better with entry speeds the front felt fine.
  4. This thread is very diverse; we have in no particular order black, white, Indian, Italian, Amish, redneck, Marine, Army, clowns, sheep fuckers. (You know who you are.) And pedophiles because I’m sure everyone from that list have touched the baby. Now, not all of you have tried to lure it away with granola like the mean black guys did but you have all lusted in your hearts. Ride report would be quite uneventful as most single bike rides are. My goal was to make it home by 6:00 and I did that. I cut off some of 83 & 78 by going across 146. I have not been on 146 before, it's okay but if I had time the section of 83 & 78 that it cuts off is more entertaining. I must admit I LOVE 255 but until yesterday I hadn't done it going toward the river so I did it both ways on this trip. I was a little disappointed because some of the road hadn't dried up and some of it had wet leaves packed on it. This was the only road in this condition the whole ride though so I can't complain about it too much at least I got a ride in this year on the new bike. It was about half way back up 255 where I started feeling a little more comfortable on the new bike. The rest of the roads I rarely use my brakes but 255 is different which is one of the reasons I like it so much plus you don't have to be going north of 100 to enjoy it, in fact I only got out of first gear about four time on it twice both directions. Bike review is mixed. I am not totally comfortable yet with it but I am sure this will change after a few more rides with others. I don't mind leading in fact I kind of like it because when I follow I pay too much attention to the bike in front of me and not the road. This is not good because rarely to two people ride the same which throws off my game, anyway I need to follow someone to get a feel for where I'm at with this bike, right now I think I'm slower in the skilled sections. This thing is fast compared to the 600 that's for sure. I can't believe how hard it pulls from 6k to 10k in fact when I started out it was pulling so hard I was shifting at 10k because I didn't want the extra pull from 10k to redline, this would change however after I discovered it really looses its drive after 10k which was no big deal for a while but by the time I got home it was a little annoying. The stock tires are not too bad they are Bridgestone 015s and they behave like Michelins in my opinion but I believe they are cheaper. I like Pirellis because they offer a little more feed back but I don't think they have any more real world traction. These tires like the Michelins just hang on but don't seem to give me much feed back warning me if I'm close to its traction edge. I only lost the rear once driving out of a corner and I think it was started by a tar snake that was along the road not across it. This bike is way more comfortable than the 600 but I did raise the pegs up 1" and moved them back 1". I used pretty much all of the tire yesterday and I never touched a curb feeler so I shouldn't have to move these pegs except for the fact that I can't touch them when I'm turning. Let me explain, I like to weigh the outside peg in a turn especially sweepers it makes me feel more stable, when I hang off the bike my thigh is on the seat, well on this bike the pegs are too far from the seat. I had my foot fly off the peg a few times. I am stuck between getting some rear sets or leaving it alone for the comfort. That 600 was a torture rack compared to this bike mostly because of the peg positions. Adam, I did see I but dialed you at 2:03 I wonder where I was at then? I now have Todd's number so now I won't miss any Coshocton ride because someone can't get out of bed. I could have used you guys to gage this new ride by.
  5. I'm home, went across 212 to 250 to 83. 371 miles for the day 6:00 moving at an average speed of 61.8 MPH, 7:57 total trip time with an overall average speed of 46.6 MPH. Bike report to follow after I eat and maybe take a nap.
  6. 255 down to the river & back up 800 to Uhrichsville now. I haven't decided how I'm going home from here.
  7. I'm in woodsfield now via 83 146 78. I think I'm going to try 255 both ways the head up 800
  8. I'm in Coshocton now, Parks isn't answering so I'm heading down 83 for a while.
  9. Are you saying black folk are too cool to ride around with a baby on board? Hookey Thursday has begun, I'm out.

Don't forget the weights of each bike. Buell 1125R = 456 wet Honda CBR1000RR = 435 wet If these numbers are correct then the Honda has an even greater advantage. Now that really dosen't mean shit unless you ride both and see which one fits your riding style.
  11. I am a typical white person. We went out for a ride at Nexxt and I left to ride home shortly after we got back. I realized who you were from pictures with captions after the fact. Mr. K over there didn't like the subject matter in this post http://www.ohio-riders.net/showpost.php?p=237102&postcount=27 which I posted over there also. He later apologized in a PM but not on the board. He didn't need to, I don't care if someone doesn't agree with me, hell I do things all the time I wish I hadn't. I raced at Blackhawk in 2008 so I made several trips back and forth. It was no problem to transport the bike for them I was making the trip anyway and they never had me go out of my way to do it. I should be working at the IMS show so stop by and talk a while, Yamaha or Kawasaki I don't know which one when.

Nice!!! I hope you are going to finish breaking it in tonight, tomorrow is hookey Thursday because of the weather so we have to ride. My bike is broken in already.
  14. Dana and I lived about 1/4 down the road from each other, he is a year younger than me but we were friends for years. I have more stories involving him that are funny as hell. He is the craziest fucker I ever knew who went into the Army. We have another friend who I was closer to that lived down the road farther who went into the Marines and was awarded the Silver Star in desert storm. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=6fa_1197189816 He was two inches shorter than me but that fucker got prosthetics that made him taller, cheater.
  15. That shit is annoying and frustrating to deal with, it's usually handled in a manor to end it in a hurry because stupid lucky shots like that happen. Don’t back up when you are in their striking distance.

I don't recall seeing the procedure called out in any of my prior FI bikes but it is in the manual for this new Honda.
  17. Stupid fucking shit to be complaining over. I liked and respected Penn State when they weren't in our conference since I thought they had a nice program going on. When they got into the Big Ten they became our rivals and now I hate them although not as much as I do that team up north. I remember the first game we played against them when they joined our conference and some of their fans had signs that said Another Big ten Cake walk since the game was televised on ABC. We kicked their stupid asses that year.
  18. That was me talking to Todd. I have a good friend I went to high school with who is a double amputee from a skydiving accident. We had a nice conversation about his particular issues with his injuries; I don't know how he gets by some times. I was riding the green Kawi. White guy with short hair not really a flat top more like a really short dog clipper cut. When you have no rules on a site you're gonna get all kinds. I know the guy over there you don't like, we had a run in over a topic and he PM'd me with an apology. From that we have talked and he isn't really the asshole he comes across as over the internet.

Similar procedure in my new Honda manual. You might want to read your 10 manual I bet it's in there too. I said Honda.
  20. YOFDOT, I love and hate that board. I only had the XX for a year but I still log on to the board everyday, I love the no rules freedom. I took rockmeupto125's 954 to Hobicus in Wisconsin when he bought it. Then later that year I brought it back to my house from Wisconsin for TOYNUT and bartonmd to pick it up to take to NeXXt for someone else to ride it. I don't drink so I left the bar early.
  21. I love this place, congrats Udell. Pics? Of course I know you're just kidding around I wouldn't call my bike the big dog in normal conversation it's all good. New bike ride this spring? I think it will be filled with Buells. This is the U P new Honda thread not the Buell thread drift.
  22. Let the games begin, I didn't get any grief from the crowd when I had the little Kawi 600RR but as soon as I get the big dog everyone is scared. Fonzie, you got it a day later that weekend and it rained almost the whole time. I didn't know who you were at the time but I remember seeing you there. I do go by a different screen name over there, member since 2004 with 156 posts to date. John that video is in the Buell thread I started the new bike search at LE HD and then wondered into Avon Honda from there.
  23. I could do that, NOT, but I know a guy who knows a guy that can. I got winded just watching.
  24. Pre prison Tyson was a monster I loved to watch his fights. Most of the time it was a waste of money because they were over so quickly.
  25. Crab apples do not have enough weight to fly reliable, walnuts stain your hands so there is proof you have been up to no good, monkey balls are too heavy and I can't throw a knuckle ball with them. (They do make good hand grenades.) Buckeyes are just the right weight to go far, they are aerodynamic enough to be able to curve them around inferior cover.
