Ive tried twice to go in on property. Never works out with all parties happy. Ive not checked into land leases, if im gonna spend money on land i want it to be mine.

I got lucky this past season an got to go to a coworkers property. First time in about 15 years i got to hunt on something other the public. I wish i lived closer to places to hunt so i was able to try knocking on some doors.

I bought my wife new snow pants for work. She got me a new set of hiking shoes. No cards or candy needed we just got each other things we needed and said it was for vday. Oh an i got some for the first time in awhile lol.

Im not real happy about being on public land either. But for some of us thats our only option. I try to go far out when i have the boys on public land away from the crowds. One day when i hit the lotto i will buy some land an put a nice deer camp on it.

They want to make it more family friendly move part of the gun season to christmas break lol. But thats way past the rut. That early in the fall it would still be warm out.

I think bag limits dont matter as long as they let poaching go on. Until they crack down on all the deer taken by poachers the herds numbers will not get any better. A shorter shotgun season is not gonna help either. I like the week long muzzle loader idea though. Moving youth gun weekend to oct is gonna piss off the bow hunters i bet.

My kid just got a sog tanto and it is scary sharp. It was $79 though, and the sog flash II I had was a great knife till the clip broke and I lost it. The crkt I got from woot will shave hair off your hand. But I am not liking the stiff opening and hate the lock. But for the money I hope it holds an edge, and holds up for awhile. One day I will get a benchmade and be done(till I loose it)

Ive been on it about five times every time someone crashed. It is a dirty, blind, unkept road. Try 556 or 536, both are just as twisty but upkeep seems much better on them.

My edc gets used for all kinds of stuff. I need to look into getting a leatherman of some type instead of using my knife for shit its not meant for. I bent the spine of my leek using it like a screw driver on the plate on my truck when i needed to take it off. Lol i abuse it to much for the slim blade it has. But its so thin it fit right in the slot of the rusty screw.

You must be much easier on your knives then i am. I need something a little more robust then the leek.

I did not pry I was trying to cut a zip tie on my kids toy and snapped the super fine point off. Mine looks bts after only six month, finish is worn off blade is beat, point snapped. time to replace it.

All gayness aside suggestions for cheap hotel or camping nearby? Stayed at the place near warsaw for muzzleloader never again think it was shady grove?

I been looking to replace my leek it is to weak of a blade. And the tip broke off like on the second day I used it. Kinda let down by kersaw for the first time.

That airbrushing of clinton is all wrong. Full auto weapons an high cap mags an him in the same painting are just wrong.

On that trip to Ga i did 3200 miles in five days. Burned up a set of new tires.

Longest ride i have done in a day was cleveland to suches ga. Half slab half backroads was just over 800 miles on a 2000 speedtriple with no wind protection. 500 miles of steady rain in early may. Gear can be a saving grace on trips like that. Had i not had proper gear for the weather the ride would not be possible. We were on the road for 14 hours to cover those miles. I would say take the hawk better suited for long rides.

Late to the party but good to see a few faces there. Miss the after parties of the past we need to get back to our former glory.
