From what I have heard spring assist is legal. If it operates with the use of a lever its not. Think switch blade or front type stiletto are not legal. If you have to move the blade with a thumb stud with the spring assist is legal from my understanding.

I would guess the local l.e.o will mess with you a lot more if you have a fixed blade knife on your hip then if you had a folder hidden in the pocket. My s.o.g flash II is auto assist, Holds a very sharp edge and looks very small from the little that sticks out of the belt clip. If you are walking around with a hunting knife in a sheath on your hip the police may not like that?

I might pick one up on Sat at the gun show? I had one never shot it then sold it and wish I had not... Yeah ammo is cheap they even have silver bear that is non corrosive at most major gun shops for around $12 a box of 20.

Stupid 2 1/2 hour drive.

Summer would not be bad with out power. But the ohio winters would be rough without heat. Unless your house is set up with a wood burner or some way to heat it. I think the majority of people would not last the first winter. God I wish I had well water and a septic tank some days. I still need to get a lot of stuff to feel that I am more prepared for a serious situation. And if the shit never hits the fan thats fine at least I was ready if it did.

I can keep an eye out for the 8.99 blazer at fin if you want I live 5 miles away from there north store. I could make a trip down to drop it off in exchange for a place to shoot my long guns at.

I clean mine till there clean. depends on how dirty they are but I clean my guns every time I shoot them so they don't get nasty. Last range trip it took me about 20-25 mins to clean my handgun. I use hoppes #9 and use hoppes light gun oil to lube them with.

I was just at fin today they have these in stock. But didn't look at the price on them.

Well after a month I got my lc9 back today from ruger. They pinned the front sight this should resolve the problem I hope. Will post up after I get a chance to go shoot it some.

I don't have a huge stash of ammo maybe 500 rounds for the hand guns. Around the same for my long guns. And something like four bulk packs for the .22 that I keep unopened. When I go shooting I just pick up what I need for the day. I have food water and gas on hand to last for over a week. My plan would be bunker down in the house in most short term events. If we are talking end of the world type event hold up for a little while round up my supplies grab my gardening stuff which includes all the seeds I need to start up a good sized garden. Then head some where with lots less population

That should get enough air. Might think about some air ducts to route air in.

Parks I can get 50 rnds of 17 grain frag rounds for $8.99 from Fin. These rounds do some major damage. Think grape fruit exploding at 100 yrds. Or apples turning into mist at 200 yrds.

Thanks for the input guys. I think this rifle is done for what I intend to use it for. I might in the future look for a .308 of some type. It might be a bolt gun or it might be a M-14, M1a type rifle.
