  1. Thanks! I think 356, 278 and 691 are all relatively new pavement. I did 56, 78 and 377 Saturday. Seems like 78 had a few patchy spots but everything else was pretty good.
  2. Since I don't know what I'm doing, it's good to know that what I'm doing is the same way that someone who sounds like they know what they're doing is doing it. Yeah, das it.
  3. Glad to see this. I've got >26k on the stock DID. Probably change it out this year.
  4. Bit of a stretch for a new rider bike, but doable if they've got their head screwed on straight. OP - GLWS. I'm obviously partial to V4 Hondas.
  5. Awesome news! Really glad to hear!

    Mojoe's Gsxr 750

    Sweet lookin' bike. GLWS.
  7. Gotta say that seeing the TT in person is on the bucket list. Still think the best vantage point may be in my living room, though.
  8. Prayers sent. Hoping for the best for your dad.
  9. Some good ideas in this thread. Ride safe everyone. I'll be in the Cascades while you're at the gap!

No. I think you were the first.

    Gordon Gee Out

I think he was a hell of a lot better than Holbrook, or whatever the hell her name was. She tried to turn Ohio State into Harvard-on-the-Olentangy. Gee would walk around the oval and chat up actual students - my son would see him all the time. The man made a few comments too un-PC for the elitist university set. Oh well, it's the way game goes now. He started the administration gig before there were cell phones to video every move he made - old habits die hard. Gee thought he could make a few rah-rah comments in front of the sports nuts. Guess not.
  12. It's also heavy in general (~590 lbs.) and has a smaller tank and so a shorter range. VFR riders wanted a LIGHTER bike and maybe more power. Styling is an "eye-of-the-beholder" thing. If the fan base got a lightweight, more powerful bike, they'd forgive some ugly.
  13. You spent the wedding money on MC gloves? Good man. Congratulations on your forthcoming bachelorhood.
  14. No posts for 18 months. Methinks we had project abort/permahold.
  15. Thanks for being had! Seriously though, welcome.
  16. Depends on where, exactly, she "used" the Hellmans.
  17. I expected to see more color - at least from the Paris contingent. I have spent a little time in Germany and Austria and everything there was various shades of black and gray. I just chalked that up to the dull, conservative, Teutonic influence. Seems like the UK and Paris are almost as drab - except for the shoes, eh?
  18. Welcome. Ohio has more riders than one web forum can hold!
  19. Welcome! If you're still in Cali, no fair taunting us in the winter.
  20. Ooooo, yeah. Check out some Triumph forums - I vaguely remember some issues with the 955.
  21. This. We'll be back into full rant this winter.
  22. Sprint STs are the bigger, British version of the VFR but smaller than an FJR or ST1300. People I talk to that ride them seem to like them.
  23. Nice museum piece. Riding? My back/wrists hurt just looking at it.
