Hmm I was around when CR first began then I had a 96 WS6 and a 93 Sentra or the Pimptra as some called it. I worked for MCI but then got the axe as well. I blew the motor in that racing some BMW on 270 out near my house with Jeff(Turbotrio) in the car, that was interesting! Some old ass tow truck towed me home for $20 haha I replaced the motor in it and still kept driving it up until 2002 I think then sold it. I went through a few more cars but now I'm back in a Sentra again those little cars are just to tossable and fun not to love! I live in Maryland now as well with my g/f.

Hmm is that something an average DIY mechanic can do in a home garage?

It is a DD and I don't have the downtime that a DET would require so it's just going to be another corner carver NA motor.

Shawn, I have seen the tubes and know what you're speaking of, but I'm not sure that's the sound. It isn't hard to pop the VC so I can do that this weekend and take a look, if that is the case it's time for a swap.

I have an odd sound coming from my engine bay and to me it sounds like a bearing or something going out. I have a video of it that I will post at the end of this thread. It doesn't really go up and down with the RPM's which is odd and kind of throwing me off as to what it is, maybe you guys have an idea. Hopefully I posted this in the correct forum. I have two videos the first one is the sound in the engine, sorry for the two brief pauses I was using an unfamiliar camera and it apparently took pics while I was taping. (This is the engine sound) Righ click save as This is what the exhaust sounds like, and NO I don't have cams! :eek2: Righ click save as It isn't sluggish or anything either so I'm really lost as to what the noise is or where its coming from other then I know it's the left side of the engine.

I wasn't there either but I have met Brent Rau and for him to act how he did to Efantis when Paul's dad fixed his car for him after he ran it into the wall at a previous race so he could run at MIR is pretty shitty of Rau to act like he did. I don't really care what happened but I can form my own opinions of how Rau is and he isn't to friendly to people who want to know about him and his car he pretty much brushes people off in my experience with him.

I thought this was a problem on the 5.4L not the 4.6L like he has is his explorer? I'd think pulling hte head is the only way otherwise where will the shavings go if you don't?

After having owned many all in ones and inkjets I finally just bought an HP 1320 and hooked it up via USB and shared it on my network. It is a laserjet and it prints on both sides of the page which is nice if you are printing out something large. I love it and since I didn't need color or a scanner it worked for me. What do you need a scanner for Joe? Can't you take pics of what you would scan in?
