  1. Edit: I am a moron mine has a master also. [ 27 October 2002, 05:31 PM: Message edited by: GRN96WS6 ]
  2. To my knowledge most cars take the green stuff. Only GM that I know of uses Dex Cool (orange stuff)
  3. Well let's see if he has more HP then obviously he will also have more TQ so no I don't think you going into 5th would have helped you at all. Adam has 3.42 gears in his car and a descent HP number pushing them. I'll let him devulge those if he so desires.
  4. Umm last I checed a 95 Z was FI not carbed. I saw nowhere in his post that he was putting a carb on it.

    Broke trany?

Could be some bad synchros. Sounds like it needs to be looked at and possibly rebuilt. [ 17 August 2002, 10:19 PM: Message edited by: GRN96WS6 ]
  6. Take it back and say they broke something.
  7. The laser he has is old. It was a copy of the Daytona I believe so that is why it had the 2.2L in it. The 90-94 Laser's had the 2.0L turbo in it. And like I said I don't think it is as easy as just slapping a turbo on it. You would need oil lines, lower compression, and a lot of stuff would have to be moved rerouted.
  8. It's just not that easy or I don't think it is. You would probably need to lower the compression a lil among other things. And I think the 2.2L Turbo was in the minivan? Not even in a DSM those are 2.0L

    neon install

You probably have R12 in your car and R134A is the standard now. You can have it recharged with R12 but it is $$. I would get it switched over since it obviously has a leak anyway. It is easier to refill this way.
  10. I would think that if the thermostat was bad the engine would heat up without the A/C also.
  11. Yes the secondary fan kicks on. And the condensor is free of bugs and debris. I'm not sure what else to check other than pressure test the system. If it is something major it will stay broken until I get another job.
  12. Well I recharged the A/C in my Sentra and it worked fine for a week or so and then started acting up. What is does is it works fine and blows cool air for about 20 mins then the air gets warmer though still cool and the engine temp begins to rise. I posted this on a Sentra specific board and the only advice I got was "thermal runaway" I have never heard of that term before, anyone know what it is? Anyway thanks for the help. BTW I have checked the coolant and it is fine .
  13. So you got it in finally. Cool smile.gif
  14. I know people who have done both ways breaking them in and not breaking them in. Neither to my knowledge has had more/less problems with either way. I break mine in for like 250 miles varying RPM range and speed. I know that cars sometimes change them at the track and then go beat on em in like a half hour after putting it in. So I don't think either way is better IMHO. Maybe ask a clutch company?
  15. Just gimme a call when you want to do it. I won't be in town from Thursday to Monday so next week or next weekend should work. smile.gif
  16. It's just connected to the tranny Chris should be able to unbolt is disconnect front DS and swap in a new one.
  17. Depends on what year the car is as to what type of freon it uses. It should say under the hood somewhere though. Or look in the owners manual.
  18. Sounds like her heater core needs flushed. Get a Haynes manual or take it to a shop if you do not want to do it yourself.
  19. I don't think he is getting them till later this evening. I plan on stoping by his house this afternoon. smile.gif
  20. Whatever works for the majority of the people. I'm open just let me know. smile.gif
  21. What ever happend to working on it tomorrow?
  22. Mark lemme know I have a TQ Wrench you can borrow. And you know I'm free and you have my nunmber so gimme a call.
