  1. The S1000R in white is on my short list.
  2. The SV was in great shape. I'll bet after he parts it, he'll have paid almost nothing for the peices he keeps.
  3. Let's say you were trying to stimulate the economy & create jobs in you country/state/county/etc. Would it make more sense to: 1. Create a business climate where the corporation will always pays their perceived fair share of taxes, or 2. Create a business climate where the corparation has a lower tax burden and is likely to remain profitable long term, then tax the employees to pay their fair share? Hell, I recently moved from Cuyahoga to Lorain county. One of the reasones was to avoid higher propetry, local, and sales tax. Cuyahoga has the highest sales tax in Ohio, Lorain has the lowest (btw, they are next to each other).
  4. Lots of Americans (let's call them democrats) have been screaming for corporations to pay more taxes and for CEO pay to be limited. All this will do is motivate corporations and talented CEOs to go elsewhere. Corporations have been doing the same thing between states for decades. Lots of companies choose to incorporate in Delaware for example. http://www.bizfilings.com/learn/incorporate-delaware-nevada.aspx Ohio on the other hand has some of the highest tax burden in the US (Income + property + sales tax + local tax), so why would a company choose to have operations in Ohio?
  5. I didn't have any emotional attachment the SV. I thought I would like it a lot more than I did, but it just wasn't the right bike for me. I will say that the revsions they made to the motor on the Gladius make it significantly better than on the SV.
  6. Sold. The guy who bought it is going to tear it apart. He's going to use the motor, ECM, & ABS then sell the rest on eBay. He builds lightweight, three wheeled vehicles that get around 140 mpg for the Craig Vetter fuel milage challenge. Interesting. http://www.craigvetter.com/pages/2013-Challenges/2013-Vintage-Days-Challenge.html
  7. There are years of Impala where you can't turn the auto head lights off, 2000-2001 maybe. I only know this because some guy I used to play softball with had one he brought it up. Not sure about 2005.
  8. Custom choppers must be good investments. The for sale adds say 25k or 30k invested
  9. ^^^ GTs are round profile (very similar to the Mich PR series). The turn in won't be as fast as steeper SS tires. That took a little getting used to. Now I prefer it. I think the round profile is superior for the street.
  10. I used Rhino Liner to paint the running boards on my Nissan Frontier. It held up fine for years until I sold it.
  11. I remember back in the day when journalists would only report information that was confirmed as fact.
  12. Since this is about investing...paying of a house isn't a "no brainer" good decsion. From an ROI point of view, you will usually lose money long term by paying off a house early (unless you have a really high interest rate). It's nice peace of mind to not have to worry about making a morgate payment, but isn't always great financial decision.
  13. This time of year you should have no problem trading a car for a bike. Any car that would be as much fun my bikes is so expensive that I wouldn't want to own it
  14. I'm not sure I could sit on the sidelines and wait for a market correction. Some experts think a correction is imminent, some don't. You could lose years worth of returns trying to time a correction. My mix is less aggressive now than it's been for the last few years. Now I like natural gas, a couple indexes, and a sector than has worked out pretty well.
  15. 2 million Harleys? Shit, that's like 1 million horsepower
  16. This level of stupidity is off the charts. Wouldn't it have been less costly for Goodwill to offer to paint the guy's truck rather than pay legal fees? I think U-Haul paints over their logos before a vehicle is sold to prevent the need for such douchebaggery.

Y'ling is probably my least favorite beer. Ill choke one down a my neighbor's but not a fan.
  18. I haven't seen the video or read about it. So, no opinion I'd be willing to share.
  19. I wouldn't fault a cop for using deadly force in a kill or be killed situation. We all deserve to live. I would fault a cop for using deadly force when they feel their authority is challenged, or to prevent a conflict. We all deserve to live.

I like craft beer more than I like craft beer drinkers Not all of them, but the one's that want to discuss every little detail are pretty annoying. It's beer. Shut up, drink. repeat.

    Other countries? Pfft.
  22. Plenty on this board can give you first hand accounts. Here's a tip: law enforcement training is not the same as training for Marines or soldiers. The training is different because the objectives are different.
  23. That's statement doesn't sound particularly well informed. Try to gain a bit of perspective: http://www.pri.org/stories/2013-12-03/iceland-grieves-after-police-kill-man-first-time-its-history
  24. Couldn't possibly disagree more with this. I'm sure your feelings would be MUCH different if said magazine was emptied into a friend or family member. When a Marine or soldier empties a magazine into an enemy combatant that is completely within mission. However, the mission of police is to enforce laws and protect rights of citizens. We have a HUGE problem when police start treating citizens like the enemy. .
