Had one. More plastic than a port-a-potty but it was kinda fun to ride. Took it on a CORE ride once and didn't embarrass myself too badly...well except for being on a PC800 in the first place
I personally won't buy another Kel tec. Kel Tec has really neat designs, but they use cheap materials and their build quality is inconsistent (loose tolerances, rough edges, etc). You can get lucky and get a good one...or not.
After owning a variety of .380 pocket pistols that I didn't completely trust. I am extremely happy with my Bodyguard .380. The build quality is impressive, even more than my M&P which is also quite nice. It's been 100% reliable with every type of ammo I've tried (even crappy Aluminum Blazer that chokes other 380s). I doubt you find one for a 'steal' though. If you're set on a 9, the CM9 is definitely a step above the PF9.
How much will you be selling the SV for? Here is about the cheapest VFR800 VTEC you are going to find. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/3733549524.html
Do stators or R/Rs frequently burn out on the 900RR? Odds are the stator and R/R aren't both bad at the same time. You can test the stator with a voltage meter without opening the cover. If you google 'stator test' you should be able to find the steps.
I'm sure Hoblick will setup your suspension. But with major changes to your suspension, I would do a few curvy rides to see if it needs fine tuning before you get to the track.
