  1. Handling wise the SV1k and VFR800 are pretty close. I would give the reliability edge to the VFR (just slightly), but the maintenance is going to be more expensive on the Honda. Even though the SV650 and SV1k are about the same size the SV1k just feels like a bigger bike. Hard to describe without riding them back to back. The 1000 motor is obviously stronger. Both can hustle through the corners quickly, the 650 just does it with a little less effort. All 3 are good bikes with performance limits beyond the ability of most riders.
  2. I'll buy it. I was just fingering one of these today.
  3. No. No one thinks you're mean. They think you're ignorant. Huge difference.
  4. You could always keep your jackass opinions to yourself. Or better yet try to expand your narrow mind.
  5. Magz, here are at least 12 references to your lack of brain power, flawed logic, & general asshatery. Read them slowly. Not 1 comment by anyone that thinks you have any idea what you're talking about. I consider that to be significant. In this day and age, it's very hard to get that kind of unanimous agreement. ...so either everyone else is wrong, or YOU'RE WRONG. My money is on you, brah. You're sense of denial is quite strong, but it may be time to get over yourself and let the healing begin.
  6. This. When I started doing group rides, this was the best part of it. I would pick the 'fast guys' brains at every gas stop to figure out how they could carry all that corner speed and make it look easy. Free lessons When you're riding with others with more skill or experience take advantage of it. Ask questions. Everyone is there because they like to ride and most are happy to talk about it.
  7. Here are some tips. Hopefully this saves everyone some time and frustration. Stupid People. How to deal with them. http://danwaldschmidt.com/2010/07/attitude/edgy-conversations-stupid-people-how-to-deal-with-them
  8. Personally, I won't touch anything without a crystal clear title anymore. I went through it once for a nice one of a kind bike. Finally got it titled, but it was a PITA. There are plenty bikes for sale with clean titles.
  9. GSXR shock and Ricors in the forks make a huge difference .
  10. I doubt those police will have jobs much longer. $800k of the Villages $1MM budget comes from their speed trap. If they can't keep the ticket revenue, they can't pay the police (who do little more than sit in the speed trap and write tickets).
  11. I'll just leave this here for quick reference http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=101984&page=2
  12. Can a mod PLEASE make this Magz'szs signature?
  13. The Lindalle Mayor's Court is ordered to be shutdown by this Friday (3/22). Could this be the end of the most infamous speed trap in NEO? Let's hope so. http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2013/03/linndale_other_villages_thwart.html
  14. I used Ricor Intiminators on my 650. Similar to Emulators but the install is simpler (no drilling required). The forks are much more controlled and confidence inspiring than stock. They work well on crappy Ohio roads.
  15. Last year I made suspension mods to a my Gladius SFV650 that cost about $300. It made a huge difference and handles WAY better than I thought it would. It will hustle though the corners just as fast as some 'more capable' bikes I have owned. Lately, I've been seriously considering a 2013 Street Triple R, but ultimately I don't think it will do anything better than my modded 650 (in the corners anyway). btw, did anyone suggest the Street Triple?
  16. Lot's of good suggestions in this thread, including keeping the SV. Lot's of people look at the SV650 as a beginner bike. But, it has more sport capability than 95% of sport riders on the road today. Not to mention it's damn near bullet proof with really good aftermarket support.
  17. I have zero concerns with reliability and build quality of my M&P. If you do a web search you'll find relaibility issues with every firearm, even Glocks. I have a G17 and 9c, very happy with both
  18. This one just popped up on CL http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/3693643892.html Looks nice but the the price may be a little too high.
  19. How does the K1200r do on twisty back roads?
  20. It's a far worse mistake to execute the innocent than to let the guilty go free. That was the basis of the legal system so many years ago. The system has been exploited and corrupted by many years of legal shenanigans. In this case there is no doubt. TJ can be uninstalled.
  21. I think the death penalty is warranted in this case. There is no doubt who committed the crimes. I am not interested in him having many years to perhaps grow remorseful. He should be deleted.
  22. Yes, way to much lawyer involvement in a legal system that needs much reform.
