  1. Yep, the used market is soft. Good thing I don't need to sell it. Keeping the 1125 and the F4i just seems redundant. I can hang onto it until spring.

You'll get different opinions on this but...I prefer the XB9 motor to the XB12. Both are solid streetable motors. The XB9 revs a bit quicker, the 12 has a bit more torque. The top speed difference is about 4-5 mph. The Stock SS stock seat is better, but upgraded Buell OEM seats are fairly inexpensive & I know where you could get a used Corbin
  3. So there will very likely be a low-mileage, MINT condition CBR600F4i for sale. Does $4,200 sound reasonable for a fall price? Still under warranty until 7/2010.

  5. Mangina did a bad enough job get fired by the Jets. Even the Jets players din't seem to like him. So why did the Browns want him? The Indians have a terrible season and fire Wedge. The Washington Nationals did even worse and fire Manny Acta. By all accounts Acta is a good guy and a bad manager. Now, the Indians hire Acta...seriously....WTF????

Schweet!! If you havent aleady, I would make sure you have the most current flash and the recalls have been done. I fore see some Buell rides next season. I talked today about trading in the XB9 on a CR, but couldn't get the deal closed. I suspect there will be some new 1125s around for at least another month or so.

    Sunday 10/25?

It's seriously not cool to refer to IP like that.
  9. There are several groups that are making a serious attempts to purchase Buell, despite HD saying they are not selling. If any sale is to take place, I don't think it will wil happen until 2010 as HD can really use the $100+ million write-off for 2009.

Talk to Dave. Maybe the best Buell Tuner around & right here in NEO. http://www.ohiosportbike.com/phpBB3/index.php
  14. That 99 Bolt will be worth good cash someday. Unfortunately, it won't be until the prices stabilize. The market is soft for ALL used bikes, not just Buells.

If you buy a Buell do two things: 1. Buy the Service Manual - Buell manuals are written in plain English and will GREATLY reduce your dependency on a dealer. Over 6 years of owning XBs, I've spent about $100 total at local dealers. If for some reason the OH Buell dealers go away, you could take your Bike and Manual to someone like IP, he could easily handle the maintence, valve adjust (not needed on XBs), etc. 2. Join www.Badweatherbikers.com - There is WAY, WAY more Buell expertise on this site than at any dealer, including a large knowledge vault. Quite a few dealers are BWB sponsors and will ship parts at a discount for BWB members.

XBs are teriffic as you as your riding style will take advantage of it's strengths. IP is correct. The chassis and suspension are top notch. If you compare the maintenance schedule to ANY other sporty bike...XBs require less scheduled maintenance (no valve adjustments, no throttle body sync, maintenance free belt drive, etc). The maintenance that is required is simple DIY. If you buy the service manual you'll have little reason to rely on a dealer. Realibility is very good. They're not the fastest bikes I've owned, but they are the most fun to ride. Yes and no. It's a Buell engineered design that is made by Rotax. I doubt that you would be able to get parts through a channel other than HD (or one allowed by HD). HD bought out the Rotax contract, and still owns the rights to the design. As part of the buyout, all the unused 1125 motors are being shipped from Austria to Milwaukee where they will sit. HD is required to supply parts for 7 years, I suspect that they'll be available for significantly longer.
  17. I would get WAY more stuff done.

That is a great deal on the 09 CR. I would snap that up...anyone want an '05 XB9SX

I've done 2,000+ miles in 4 days several times on an XB9S, with no real soreness to speak of. It's a great mix of handling and comfort. It had 34k on it when I sold it, and I never had to turn a wrench.
