  1. Rob, If you file a claim, make sure they cover all your gear. Anything that touched the ground shoud be covered.
  2. Skrew and I trailered to Bolivar once 5 or 6 years ago. Honestly, it was more of a PITA than anything. If you can't handle the ride to Bolivar, you prolly aren't going to dig the 300-400 mile loop through SE OH anyway.
  3. It was quite a turnout. We left Bolivar with 10 bikes split into a fast group & slow group. We rode a moderate pace to Barnesville where we picked up 6-8 more and 2 more after that. We wound up with 3 or 4 groups. Most continued to Hannibal where we regrouped at a gas station & plotted our courses home. I logged a little over 400 miles for the day. I wasn't in the group with the get off, but there are a couple tricky turns on 536, including a 15mph right hander. Many 15 mph turns you can take 2-3 times the posted speed, but this one is really a 15mph turn. It's a decreasing radius that closes up after you're committed... http://www.ohio-riders.net/showthread.php?t=28843
  4. Implementation Project Manager & I own and operate a Car Wash.
  5. UP, 536 is a fun road , but can definitely result in a scratched bikes. The turn in your 3rd and 4th post is a decreasing radius 15mph (going south) that has claimed many bikes. It's nice to see someone else on this board who isn't put off by 400-500 miles of twisties in a day. Perhaps we can get together for a ride this summer...
  6. I rode 536 today, gravel wasn't an issue.
  7. There should be a lot more Vespa riders.
  8. I've ridden with Kathy on CORE rides, she can outride most of the people I've met from OR.
  9. When HP>IQ bad things can happen.
  10. There have been several new rides...for now 05 XB9SX & 05 CBR600F4i. If not this weekend maybe next.
  11. Kathy...haven't seen you in awhile...you should show up Sunday.
  12. If NEO'ers want to hit the really good stuff in SE OH, it's a long day but well worth it. We do it 10-12 times a year. Typically, I am on the road before 8a, home before 5p. We keep the pace brisk & the stops short. Depending on the route it's usually around a 450 mile day. I may do a SE OH loop this Friday and for sure on Sunday.

  14. Park the car in the driveway, you can never have too many bikes.
  15. So basically it's a revenue increase for Independence that the taxpayers didn't get to vote on and another excuse for the police to profile bikes...bunch of fudgepackers.
  16. You're leading next time
  17. 536 is definitely a fun ride & one of the most technical roads in or near OH. There are a couple turns that have claimed more than a few bikes. I suggest taking it easy the first time you ride it...you'll see why.
  18. When the pavement is in decent shape 26 out of Marietta is very good, unfortunately it hasn't been is good shape in years (haven't ridden it yet this year). The part north of Woodsfield is always awful.
  19. There are a few decreasing radius turns on 536 that are notorious for eating bikes. I've seen several bikes down and some unintentional off-roading. It's a fun route, but better to take it EASY the first few times you ride it. I'll be heading that way on Saturday.
  20. A Buell with a Jardine pipe & and an ECM that isn't mapped for it. Not suprising. An SV is not as fast as an XB9 or XB12. Even so, straight line speed isn't the XB's strength. If your buddy can't corner an XB, that says more about him than the bike.
  21. Whenever I see custom paint on a sportbike, I wonder how many times it was wrecked.
  22. I would have to agree. If you're not interested in buying...stfu. It's not any of your business what someone is trying to get for their bike.
