  2. Bump for a really clean 919. I have several folks interested, but the bike is still available.

    Star Trek

I'm kinda old school...not really into Star Trek 90210
  4. The XB chassis & suspension are the best I have ridden. The mill is fine for street duty, but it's not going to blow anyone away on the track. People that like to scan spec sheets, prolly won't buy one. If you spend any time on one (with the suspension setup correctly) there is alot to like. It's kinda like putting a big block Chevy in a Porsche 911 GT3--not for everyone, but I like mine. Speaking of motors...the 919 has the best street motor I have ridden. Plenty of torque and a very linear power delivery. Little shifting required, it'll pull hard in 6th gear from 2,500 to the redline.
  5. I'll take the free marketing. btw the new (unmounted) rear is a Conti Road Attack. There is still a little life left in the Dun-Flop Dis-Qualifier. If you don't want the Conti, I'll knock $140 off the price.
  6. Wonderful. Another love/hate Buell thread:flingpoo: those never get old. We should all go hit the twisties, I just hope my rubber band can keep up. Seriously, anybody want to buy a 919?
  7. Did anyone see the Daytona Sportbike race from Barber? Hacking pulled of the most incredible save I have ever seen. He basically crashed, stayed on the bike, and kept it moving...and finished on the podium. WOW!! scroll down: http://www.totalracingsolutions.com/racing/video/jamie-hacking-the-best-save-ever-video/
  8. The Honda 919 does everything well. Stock they put out around 63 ft/lbs and 102 hp at the rear wheel. Insurance is cheap. Beyond that I'll save the sales pitch. ‘02 919 (CB900F) with under 11k miles. $4,250 --Clear title is in my posession (no leins). --Runs excellent --Looks excellent --Never been down or damaged --The motor and drive train are bone stock. --The color is factory flat black (Asphalt Black). --It has been EXTREMELY well maintained. --Comes with BRAND NEW Rear tire, K&N oil filter, & the original owner’s manual. Aftermarket parts: CRG Mirrors (stock mirrors included) Renthal Ultra-Low Handlebars (stock handlebars included) National Cycle F-16 Sport Screen Orbital Tank Protector Pro Grips --It can be easily returned to stock. I would consider a trade for a clean (never down) 04+ SV650 or SV650S. More pictures here: http://cid-a72fd56056e6ddd9.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Public
  9. MSRP 499.99-514.99 Like new, worn twice. $150 Cash. I just bought a motorcycle & the guy gave me this basically new Joe Rocket Racing Jacket. It's very nice, with good vents. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit me. It's a size 46. I still have the price tag (499.99). Pickup is preferred, but I will ship it at your expense. I am near Cleveland. JOE ROCKET CORONA RACING LEATHER JACKET US 46 1.2 to 1.4mm cowhide Variable Flow™ ventilation system Full Flex™ windproof sleeve panels Removable insulated vest liner Sure Fit™ adjustable waistband Reflective stripe 360 zipper for pant attachment
  10. I'll bet it's far more rideable than most choppers, but I can't see a factory, Japanese chopper selling well. A least it's not a Rune.
  11. For me it's just more pleaseant to ride witha full face helmet and ear plugs.

Atlanta should roll over tonight. They already look beaten. I don't see them wanting to come the Q for game 5.
  13. Sounds like a stuck or 'sunk' float valve. That is a pretty easy/cheap fix. I would also double check the battery and spark to the bad cylinder.
  14. Does anyone have have extended miles on them yet? I have been hearing that the front wears faster than the rear and is (front) prone to uneven wear. Has anyone experienced this?
  15. Has anyone here tried Bridgestone BT-021 tires? I have ridden Metzeler Z6's and now Conti Road Attacks. Thinking about the BT-021's for my next set. I would like to hear how they handle and how long they last.

    4/29 QSL in VV

Pretty Much. Standing next to a bike is damn near as good as actually riding.
  17. I need to get me some of that West Vagina
  18. The XB mill is designed to vibrate at idle, when the rev's get over 3k the vibrations stop. Not for everyone, but I never thought it was an issue. I was waiting for the 1125 to be released. The design doesn't work for me. The pods are functional, but most seem to think they detract from the overall look of the bike. Why not form & function? Plenty of bikes have nicely integrated side mounted radiators...Superhawk, VFR, etc. It's not like it's a new idea. Now that HD owns MV, maybe Erik can access that wonderful Italian styling dept. This is a nicely styled photochop of the pods on an 1125R. If this was real it might be in my garage. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/452218.jpg
  19. I thought the 2002+ VFRs had front preload adjustments & rear preload/rebound adjustments.
  20. If his XB shook, the suspension was definetely set up wrong. I put over 30k on a XB9S & it was rock solid. Handling was excellent. The motor is subjective, but it never slowed me down. If they redisigned the radiotor 'pods' on the 1125CR, I would give it a 2nd look.
  21. I've tried to like the 1125CR. I hear she's good in the sack, but she's a butterface. I'm looking at 3 VFR's and an XB12S at the moment.
  22. It's going on Craigslist as soon as I find it's replacement. If you're interested shoot me a PM. Cosmetically & Mechanically it's 9+/10. It's ready for a new rear tire, which is already sitting in my garage.
  23. Thanks Paul! I didn't know you had a trailer. As good as the 919 is...it's just not the right bike for me. I am either picking up a VFR800 or another Buell.
