  1. I like shooting revolvers. I used to have a bad ass, scoped .44mag that was an absolute tack driver. But, I don't see that they have any tactical advantage over a semi. You'd see them in more military or police action if they did. YMMV.
  2. With high quality pistols like my Glocks, HKs, and XDm. The only failures that I've had have been ammo related, as in primer was dented but no bang. You'd have that same issue with a revolver. Also: Clearing a jam in a semi auto is going to take less time than reloading a revolver. Most people can shoot a striker fired semi auto more accurately than a DA revolver ( I actually don't mind DA, but I'm probably the exception). Consider price, capacity, size and weight and something like a Glock 19 or H&K VP9 (my new favorite pistol) seems like a pretty good choice.
  3. I don't like the idea of trailering past really fun roads to get to other really fun roads. Some of the best riding I did in June was getting there and getting home.
  4. You're exactly who the NFL should be worried about losing. I already thought Goodell was a poor leader. He's beyond incompetent if he didn't see this coming. The fan base has become divided on his watch. I'll bet $1 he won't be the commissioner when next season starts.
  5. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/nfl-player-protests-national-anthem-week-6-network-footage-nbc-cbs-fox-espn/15rgt3xvut45m1hmlf0uhar8ea You can't blame the NFL TV partners for being worried. Through Week 5, the NFL TV numbers were down 7.2 percent, according to Nielsen data. That drop came on top of a 7 percent downturn last season. Through Week 5 of the 2017 season, NFL games averaged 15.2 million viewers, according to Nielsen. That’s down 7.42 percent from an average of 16.371 million viewers through the same period of the 2016 season, and 18 percent down from the average of 18.438 million viewers through the first five weeks of the 2015 season. Two angry groups of fans have taken to social media to denounce the NFL. There's #NoKaepernickNoNFL fans, who vow to boycott games until the blackballed Colin Kaepernick gets a job. Then there are #BoycottNFL fans, who believe the protests are un-American and unpatriotic. ----------- So the NFL went from showcasing the protests on TV and not showing fans booing to not showing the protests at all. And now there are boycotts on both sides of the issue I'll bet the NFL is happy they got involved in politics Seriously fuck that league and the players. They should have stuck to trying entertaining their fans...but watching them flip flop might just prove to be even more entertaining.
  6. Same. Motorola seems to have the best build quality of the phones I've owned. The batteries seem to stay in good condition longer that a 2 year contract, unlike Samsung.

    Silly riding.

I personally don't give a fuck about how people ride...unless they're riding with me. If I don't like riding with someone, I just won't. This policy has worked out fabulously for me over many years and many thousands of miles.
  8. I feel ya. I've worked from home forever. No co workers anywhere close
  9. IMO, Android and iPhone are 97% the same. I'd give a slight advantage to Android tech but it isn't enough to be meaningful. Despite the marketing, they do the same things. My personal phones have been Androids, my work phone is an iPhone. I could live with either. I will say Apple people kind of annoy me...not people that own them, the fanatics annoy me. Not sure if I've ever met and Android fanatic, they'd probably annoy me too
  10. For sale: H&K VP9 with 3 mags. Absolutely like new with all the factory stuff. This is my new all time favorite striker fire pistol. I wound up with 2 of them in a trade. I'm only keeping one of them. Very well made, excellent trigger, accurate, H&K. $500
  11. I'm not really into hds even though I have one. The ones you have are actually the ones I find most interesting due to being one the sporty end of the hd range.
  12. Like you, I have a VRSCR. The new street rod looks sporty by HD standards, but a little less so than competitors like the FZ07 or the Triumph Street Twin. Personally, I like the look of it, but couldn't live with foot peg position or the stock bars.
  13. You're only as old as you feel...no wait... I mean you only feel as old as the women you date...winning
  14. In my case 6 points (most I've ever had ), resulted in a $0 increase from State Farm. Other companies might be different.
  15. I prefer a long trigger pull in a carry piece. Glock standard triggers are as light as I'm willing to go. I ditched a few Kahrs because the trigger pull was too light for carry...but I really liked them at the range.
  16. I consider speeding tickets the price of admission to the SEO playground. I used to average about 1 per year, but haven't gotten one in the last 3 seasons (over 30k). There are roads where I have't seen a single LEO in 15 years. That includes some in SEO and the most of WV. While I've never ran from police, I have ditched a couple times, including a pretty hilarious one near Deals Gap 2 years ago.
  17. Speeding tickets are still cheaper than track days
  18. I really have no idea what I'll be doing next year on two wheels. Of the three bikes in my garage right now, I'm not sure if I'll own all or none of them next year. 75% chance I'll buy brand new in the spring, just not sure what.
  19. I plan to build something on some property. Maybe you'll be across the holler.
  20. I recently decided that I'm moving to TN as soon as the kids are out of school.
  21. I've eliminated some big things for that exact reason. I sold a successful business because it took away too much time and just couldn't be my priority anymore. You still need things for yourself, but kids absolutely come first.
  22. Completely separate from the kneeling, in the last 10 or so years I've noticed... Fewer parents want/encourage their kids to play football, fewer kids want to play football, and kids seem less interested in watching on TV. I've had this conversation with other parents and it seems to be a trend. Years ago, I thought the NFL was heading for the same problem Harley has been dealing with in an aging demographic. They had a loyal, but aging following and need to find a way to attract younger customers. All things considered, I'm curious to see how this all plays out...
