  1. Last year when we were there, a Subaru took out a old couple on a Ultra-Electra-Wide-Fatboy-Glide. It happened just a few turns in front of me
  2. Honda seems to have a talent for building motorcycles that, on the spec sheet, sound about as boring as fishing sober...but are actually quite fun on the street.
  3. I need to take it on spirited SEO ride first so I can decide. The VFR12 has been just about the perfect bike for previous gap trips
  4. I can only ride Sunday. We could plan a non-epic-rain-date-ride.
  5. I haven't taken it on long ride yet. It corners well enough to be entertaining. The lack of straight line speed might prevent me from becoming acquainted with any local officials.
  6. I'm seriously considering riding the cb500x on this trip.
  7. Plenty of books on manufacturing mgmt.
  8. I almost bought a BMW C650 scooter. I didn't but noticed the slick, enclosed chain drive setup. "Final drive is by chain that runs in an oil bath. Adjustment, if needed, is done by changing guides for different thicknesses. Countershaft sprocket is located on the swingarm pivot axis for improved longevity."
  9. None of the bikes that I've kept for extended miles were chain drive
  10. How much does chain maintenance "actually" affect the life of the chain?
  11. Top box. Now it's ready for distance riding.
  12. Caption this photo?
  13. Steiner Ranch Steakhouse is highly recommended.
  14. I hit my out of pocket max last year I'm hoping not to do it again anytime soon.
  15. I could see it being fun on 129, but that's a pretty unique road where high speeds and acceleration aren't the key to going fast. On pretty much any other road it wouldn't reach my normal cruising speed I'd be willing to ride one though.
  16. All females are 2 glasses of wine away from making out with another chick. The ones that disagree are lying.
  17. Do you mean chick on the new series, or the dude from the A Team?
  18. I'm having a really difficult time believing this.
  19. Only 3 things matter for a CCW pistol: 1 Can it be reasonably concealed 2 Can you hit a target at self defense distances (if not, you're the problem, not the weapon) 3 Does it go bang every time If you have reason to draw a weapon in self defense, you aren't going to give a damn about ergonomics, if the trigger is butter smooth, or if it can hit a shotgun shell at 50 feet. You're also going to be dealing with adrenaline. This isn't a marksmanship situation. You aren't slowly squeezing off a round while maintaining breath control. You are quickly pulling the trigger. If you are in a struggle you aren't going to be using the sites & you might need to fire left handed. Practice that next time you are at the range.
  20. If anyone is looking for a small ccw 9, I have a 2nd gen Sig P290rs with night sights. Its the nicer package that comes with a 2nd mag and holster. I'd sell for $375.
  21. I have other pistols that are more fun to shoot. It will still hit a can at 25 feet no problem.
