I've got a Ninja 1000 that I'm not getting rid of anytime soon. I recommend. I suppose helibars on a sportbike would be good if I didn't have longish legs. I've ridden the cbr1000rr up to 650 miles in a day & it's not the bars that get to me, it's the pegs. Although the ninja is slower than the cbr, it's not slow by any means.

Next time head straight at them then bob & weave a little just to make your presence known. (Not kidding). Glad you are ok.

I've got a real nice olympic size pool a 4 minute walk from my house. I went for the roads (& the good company of course).

Thanks. We'll see what the weather's like & make a decision by committee before embarking. Gas range should be good if we gas up at Shell. We would have to improvise on provisions if we take this route. We were planning on stopping at Maryville, TN at the Walmart or similar.

By the time we reach the turnoff for this I think we'll be about ready to get off the slab.

I'm pretty cheap but a reflash is not something I would be shopping the bargain basement on.

What part of the Island did you visit. We stayed by Yauco on the southwest side & the drivers were only slightly less crazed than the drivers I experienced in India.

The roads I remember there were twisty all right, but narrow & frequented by kazoo exhaust honda civics that like to use rhe whole road.. Runoffs include thousand foot vertical drops into rainforest vegetation. Sounds like fun. Wish I had tbe time & the cash.

I'm seeing that we will probably see some showers, lows around 60, highs around 80. I don't think we'll see any accurate forcasts until about Wednesday, if then.

Congrats. Zx14 in your future.

Would you trade in your gas powered machine for one of these?

The electric bikes have gotten better but they've still got a way's to go. The cost is outrageous for what you get. Most only have one gear so that "arm stretching torque" is muted at low speed and top end is pretty limited. Range is getting ok but recharge time is yet another deal breaker for me. I do like the visceral qualities of dinosaur powered bikes as well. I hope the electric bikes are improved considerably before I have to get one. -
Welcome to OR. There ar a lot of riders on here around your locale plus all rhe riders north of you have to pass thru nearby to get to the good roads. I'm pretty sure you can find some peeps to ride with on here. I'd be out riding today if I didn't have to dig holes in my front yard.

That's cool.

OR is skewing your sense of reality.

Where did you get the Idea that sportbike riders know how to use their brakes better & do track days. I would bet that the vast majority of sportbike riders (I mean owners) don't know how to use the brakes better or do track days. When riding ignorance is coupled with machines that have a horsepower to weight ratio that is double to quadruple that of most cruisers it's a dangerous combination. Everybody likes to twist that right grip.

To the ass jockey on Alton Darby riding wheelies with oncoming traffic...

Nothing says take that mother effer like a nicely lofted front wheel punctuating a pass.
