  1. XD vs. m&p

    M&P FTW of course.

i could put that in his sig for you if you would like

    Do it. lol

    Glock > all others

    9mm > 45

    Glock sucks. 40 > 9mm (even though I carry a .45.:p )

    Glock sucks.

    Yup.

The ones I have pictures of anyway...

Why do you have to have an M&P? I don't want to have that in common with you. Sell yours to me.

    twin glock 40's

    Okay TD.

And next thing will be hot pink ohio-rider sticker so we can see each other on the roads

You start it and everyone will follow suit.

Interesting' date=' from a "political perspective" (i.e. considering people's past posts, and how they seem to view things politically and in their world view), how said people are reacting to AP/ this thread. They don't seem to be as empathetic/ understanding/ tolerant as they think the rest of us are supposed to be. What happened to peace and love, and everyone being happy and just getting along?

    :slap::slap::slap:[/quote']

I just don't see the point of hiding something from the public, just to have them join and then see what ORDN is all about.

Who, specifically, is interesting to you? Since, I'm already apparently on your block list because you couldn't handle some other political debates and ribbing on here -- ya know, speaking of empathy, tolerance, and understanding.

How'd you vote? Oh wait, you can't read this.

I put you on my block list but quoted it so I could see it and read it....

That's way too many posts, especially when your views are wrong and don't parrot the views of those who are complaining. I don't agree with Justin at all in political views but am not weak minded enough to need someone else to protect me from him.

I'm disappointed that people can't ignore or stand opposing views and choose the sensor route instead of a personal responsibility route.

    This.

But you posted 11095 of your 11108 posts in political threads so that's 99.88296723082463% of your posts.

See, I can play the numbers game too bitch!

    lol

Kritz votes No! I have no urge to indulge in politics here, so i just don't click on any of the threads.

Kind of like changing the TV channel. you don't click on the shows you don't want to watch right? I don't email Dish to tell them to hide channels I don't like.

cause now it's easier just to click this button to get to todays posts, regardless of where i'm at (email, rodo, dtc, woot, fbook, ebay) the link automatically brings me in one click where I was going to go anyways "today's posts" no scrolling.

quoted in text and pix.

  2. is it ghetto (or difficult) to saw off your own shotgun barrel?

28" is about 8 more than I'd like... but it's all that i'm finding in combination with a 23" .22 barrel.

I don't think so. I know a guy that cut his down to 18.5" with a hacksaw. then just file the edges smooth. He didn't say it required anything else.

  3. they may be a bird but they are no joke when it comes to hitting one with a vehicle. i watched my dad peel one with his brand new durango. i learned some new vocabulary that day

Yeah, the front was all messed up. It was right before thanksgiving and she didn't even pick it up for dinner. :(

  4. A quality self-defense round will expand upon impact' date=' causing a greater percussion to the body and internal organs.

A good example, since you mention physics, would be to poke your wife in the chest with your index finger, then punch her in the chest with a closed fist at the same speed. Not exactly a perfect experiment, but it is a fair illustration.

The slower and fatter the round, the more damage it will do the the target. You don't want to "pierce" the target. You want to blow what's inside of it to hell and back, while keeping the penetration only on one side.... the side you fire at.

This is for home defense, like you asked for.[/quote']

Basically stopping power is anything that stops them from doing what they are doing. Any shot directly into the heart or brain will more than likely stop the person. However, a .45 to the heart will top that heart a bit faster than a .22 because it will take a chunk out of the heart rather than putting a little hole in it and waiting for it to bleed out. Thus the .45 has more stopping power. A lot more pain and usually damage involved with something like a .45. When you look at a .22 though, it has the tendency to not stop moving in the chest. It just plinks around on all kinds of bones and then makes a lot of damage that way. A bullet can kill no matter what it is. Plain and simple.
Red lets put it this way it would take a perfect shot with a .22lr to stop someone with one shot. With a larger bullet the odds are better for a one shot stop. I am not saying one shot with the guy flying backwards. just saying one shot from a 9mm,.40, or .45 has a much greater chance of enough damage to stop someone with one shot. Now a 12ga with 00 buck in a 3 inch mag might stop someone in there tracks as in no more foward motion.

You guys all said it better than me. I couldn't formulate my thought enough for a good answer but yes, you are correct.

  5. I assume that many of his trips to Camp David were working, yes. They aren't "vacation days," in the same way that his trips to Crawford, Texas were (a total of 77 trips, and 490 days).

But even Crawford, you still have no idea what was really done there correct? I'm not defending Bush's trips or anything just I'd assume he had an office there. Now if Bush took 490 days to go sailing, I'd say it would be safe to assume he wasn't working. If I could work at home, I sure as hell would.

I'd rep you for correcting me, but I have to spread it around.

lol, no biggie. I've worked with the stuff a lot. Most all military vehicles use JP8 so a single fuel truck can refill any kind of vehicle.

  6. Ha ha... I was thinking about saying something like this. Mainly because I had an M&P because of how great of things I heard and then I HATED it. I could feel every movement of the slide, it jammed a lot of it did not feel great. Some people told me I may have just got a bad one of the batch because of how great they are. But they are CERTAINLY not for me. I got rid of it and got a Sig and LOVE it!

That's interesting because I read probably hundreds of reviews on them before I got mine and don't recall a single negative one. Mine has never malfunctioned.

  7. He didn't drive to Crawford, Texas. He flew there on Air Force One, with a team of Secret Service agents. We paid for that, about $18 million. In his entire Presidency, he spent more than 400 days at his ranch, and even more at Camp David (I assume many of those days were working getaways, though). Facts are neat!

So you assume many were working getaways. Sure he went there a bunch but you have no idea what he did there. You know Obama didn't do anything else but play golf at the golf course.
