  1. I'm not talking about the definition of motor vehicle I'm talking about being "on"a motor vehicle while the law applies to "in" a motor vehicle. If your out somewhere where open carry with out a permit is allowed. You decide to sit on the trunk of your car with the gun being openly carried. It would seem you would be on the car not in the car and not violating the law. Or you drive to a friends property to do some shooting. You get there load up a couple of firearms and set them on the trunk of your car. Does that mean your in violation of the law because you have a loaded weapon on your motor vehicle? I don't think so.

Now I don't agree this guy should have tried this without his chl. But I do believe that any law abiding citizen has the right to carry a gun at all times. Problem is they make laws against that not realizing criminals don't care. They still rob liquor stores with guns even though its against the law to have a gun in one.

Show me where you cannot carry in a liquor store.

  2. So if Im on my bike its ok to ride with a unload weapon out in the open with the clip under my hump of my bike. Its ok so when I get off my bike load my clip in the gun and walk in public.
Maybe he has a revolver. :dunno:

Negative. A loaded magazine or speedloader even when seperated from the firearm is considered a loaded weapon. One can be in the glove box, the other in the trunk. Without a CHL, it is illegal.

  4. The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of five soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. They died Aug. 30 in the Arghandab River Valley, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked their unit with an improvised explosive device. All were based at Fort Carson, Colo.

    Killed were:

Capt. Dale A Goetz, 43, of White, S.D. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

Staff Sgt. Jesse Infante, 30, of Cypress, Texas. He was assigned to the 4th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

Staff Sgt. Kevin J. Kessler, 32, of Canton, Ohio. He was assigned to the 4th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

Staff Sgt. Matthew J. West, 36, of Conover, Wis. He was assigned to the 71st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group.

Pfc. Chad D. Clements, 26, of Huntington, Ind. He was assigned to the 4th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

  5. Killing.

Many people make the mistake of reading what the Bible says in Exodus 20:13, “You shall not kill,” and then seeking to apply this command to war. However, the Hebrew word literally means “the intentional, premeditated killing of another person with malice; murder.” God often ordered the Israelites to go to war with other nations (1 Samuel 15:3; Joshua 4:13). God ordered the death penalty for numerous crimes (Exodus 21:12, 15; 22:19; Leviticus 20:11). So, God is not against killing in all circumstances, but only murder. War is never a good thing, but sometimes it is a necessary thing. In a world filled with sinful people (Romans 3:10-18), war is inevitable. Sometimes the only way to keep sinful people from doing great harm to the innocent is by going to war.

In the Old Testament, God ordered the Israelites to “take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites” (Numbers 31:2). Deuteronomy 20:16-17 declares, “However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them…as the LORD your God has commanded you.” Also, 1 Samuel 15:18 says, “Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; make war on them until you have wiped them out.” Obviously God is not against all war. Jesus is always in perfect agreement with the Father (John 10:30), so we cannot argue that war was only God’s will in the Old Testament. God does not change (Malachi 3:6; James 1:17).

  6. Even the Buckeye Tuck was risky as one officer may say that it's in plain sight if he can see if from the any position outside the car, whereas another may say it's NOT in plain sight unless he can see it from standing at the driver's window.

I asked my local sheriff, was referred to a sgt, and told that it's officer discretion.

which is the main reason that part of the law was done away with. Was way to grey. I didn't have my CHL at that time, but have spoken to many that did.

  7. Anything over 8 is time and a half. So if i were to work 9 hours all week in one day, that ninth hr is ot. Says time and a half. Sundays and holidays double time. Shift pay is an extra 2.00 an hr. Foremans scale is an extra 2.00 for the first 7 guys, then a 1.50 on top if that for every extra 5.

Interesting, never heard of that. Sounds like a good deal.

  8. Exactly - no outside code review. I suppose it would be easy enough to install it, put in a password to a site that doesn't matter, leave the app running/enabled, and sniff packets, but I don't feel like doing it.

Probably benign software, but I'm not trusting the ability to access my money, utilities, etc. to it.

I have one basic password that I vary just enough site-to-site to make it (in my mind) secure "enough", yet easy to remember. If I get hacked, so be it.

    Oh, ok. Didn't know.

No fucking way in hell would I allow some 3rd party server to store my passwords. Just saying.

I figured there'd be some with that reaction but thought I'd throw it out there anyways.
