  1. I had one of these too... my brother had the blue jeep, and mine was a white chevy or ford.

    Cross Boss action, bitches!

Don't ever recall that toy, looks pretty sweet though.

the field goal kicker was my favorite from the late 70s. you punch down on his head and he kicks the ball through the post. remember i lost the plastic ball so i used a domino and cracked the living room window. my mom wooped my ass, maybe with the hot wheel track. oh what memories !

HAHA. I'm glad I'm a threat. ;) ( know what you meant, thanks)

  2. Soooo many car related things

    Micro Machines

These cars that came in sections that you could pull apart and make your own cars (I have no idea what they're called)

    Hot Wheels

    Legos

    Erector Set

I know I still have my Micro Machines, but I think the rest ended up as giveaways to other family members with kids (cousins, etc)

I loved playing with legos. Still have them in boxes in the basement.

Not exactly what I had, but definitely the old steel ones, not these sissy-ass breakable plastic ones they have today. If I was running behind it and ran it into a wall, you could bet my finger was getting sliced. I think the only plastic on mine was the wheels.

Yep. I had the same type. The truck, tractor and backhoe IIRC. They took a hell of a lot of abuse.

  4. So what toys from your childhood will you never forget? You still have any of them?

I have some older tractors from when I was younger. They are the real die-cast metal punch a hole in the wall playing with them kind. My daughter plays with them now.

My mom came across a slinky and gave it to me the other day. It's METAL and not one of those miniature ones like they have today either. Actually its longer than any one I ever remember having as a kid. Pretty cool.

  5. I'm fine with a drug test to collect any paycheck. It's the company's interest to succeed and they need people they can count on. We had random piss test in the army. If you failed you suffered the consequences. I think this would be an EXCELLENT idea to collect help from the government.

  6. Just before the rest of the cheeky comments about the French inevitably roll in.

(No, I'm not of French heritage either)

I never called them Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys. lol. I've personally known some French people, well I wasn't too impressed so I will leave it at that. But if someone is French, I won't hold it against you or judge you. I really couldn't care less.

That was a interesting link to read though, thanks JRM.

  8. wat?

Meaning I don't carry a gun as a weapon. Yes it has the capability to end a life but so do many other things. This is one reason why guns have such a bad rap. Oh, he has a gun, he's gonna kill someone!! No I carry it as a tool to protect my life and those that I love. A screwdriver is not considered a deadly weapon until it is used to hurt or kill someone. The same should be true for a firearm.

  9. I just hear people say it all the time. "I dont need a security system, I have a gun". As if the gun is going to protect the house and its contents for you when you are gone.

Or this classic, "I dont need a security system cuz I have a big, mean dawg!" Oh yeah? I have a big ass steak. Now your dawg is helping me carry your shit out.

No I understand where you are coming from. I'm with ya. I'd get a security system but I employ my own personal security guards 24/7.
