  1. I don't think they are weight sensors, normally. My understanding is the metal from a car disrupts the electrical signal through the wire in the ground. Your bike doesn't have enough metal to disrupt it. Try putting your kickstand directly on the crack in the pavement where the wire runs. I have heard that can work, never tried it though. Then tell the city/county or whoever to raise the sensitivity to register motorcycles.

  2. Well on Saturday I went to my parents house with my little one. My sister and her family was there too. The kids hunted for eggs and their baskets. Then as a family tradition had a silly string fight! For lunch we had Route 62 BBQ in Johnstown. If you have never had it, you gotta try it! It's really good.

Today my daughter got up and looked for her easter basket and eggs at home. The Easter Bunny brought her a little laptop for learning numbers and letter and the such. Went back to my parents with my wife since she was off and had lunch there again. Then we all went out and shot some guns. Nothing says Easter like eggs, candy and guns!

  3. My recommendation is start out on a 250. Quite a few people on here have, myself included. The 250 wont really overwhelm you and you can learn the basics and good riding habits. If you get a bike you can't handle, well that won't do you much good in the long run.

  4. Wow, nice!

Thanks, you should be seeing it in person pretty soon. ;)

Looks great bro. you do it yourself?

I did all the prep and body work. Had some cracks and chunks missing from the previous owner I had to fix. My boss painted most of the pieces and I painted a couple. The muffler also had a long scratch down the side and when I was sanding it out, I kinda liked the "brushed" look and just said screw it and left it like that. haha

    Nice job man

Thanks. I don't envy you at all. Sanding those pieces by hand was a bitch, very time consuming. I'm sure if I did it more often it would have gone quicker but I don't think I ever want to do something this in depth again. If it was just primer and paint it probably would have been okay.

  5. ...and back on the road. Got the carbs running pretty smoothly, still some minor adjustments I think need to be made. All in all it runs strong, better than it did before I think and even starts easier now.

Decided with the help of OR to go with a satin black color. The paint has it's defects but it is a 96 and is not a show bike. I don't have a lot of experience painting or doing body work so I think I did alright. It's a daily rider and bugs/stones happen.
