  1. Read my previous post about this. It's not going to do a bit of good to fix the one airbag, other than appearance. I'm pretty sure that the system will not work properly with just one bag replaced. It knows that something is not right, and is not sure whether to trust anything else. If you're not going to do the entire repair, fix the exterior issues first, headlight working, cosmetics if ya want, be aware that you have a safety system that's not operating, and fix the airbags later. I got 5 on anyone other than jcroz.....
  2. Now OP, go fix the first post to put the pics below one another, instead of side by side! Just hit enter after each of them. (Just one of thos things that annoys me! I also have been drinking, but just one drink so far.)
  3. That's the reason I don't put a whole lot of stock in the actual numbers, as much as the delta from tuning changes being made. There are too many variables to be accounted for, unless the conditions are very tightly controlled, such as baro pressure, temp, humidity, calibration tolerances, etc... My opinion is that the dyno is much better at measuring differences than anything, which is what is really needed when doing a tune, anyway!
  4. I THOUGHT you were referring to yourself!
  5. I don't think he was talking about your wife.....
  6. I saw a group of squids out in the wind this afternoon, on our way to lunch. 3 of the 4 had no helmet, the 4th had a half helmet. I think all were in t-shirts, and riding haphazardly in the heavy winds. The 2 sport bikes were really squirrelly, and almost lost it, thanks to the wind. for that group.....
  7. I don't know if it was just at 11:00 or not. That's the only time I was watching. I'll have to watch it again to see about the helmet, I was more listening than watching.
  8. Compared to a cage in traffic it's ok. On the freeway - not so much.
  9. Adult bigwheel's: http://bigwheelrally.com/store/adult.htm
  10. That's one thing that I have become aware of. I'll ride a little close to the lane line just to make sure I'm in their mirror, at the least, and the same with multi-lane, I make sure the cars beside me know I'm there (the best I can) and watch out for them if they are going by, or if I'm going by them, and make sure the pass is completed quickly.
  11. Sort of like a wedding ring?
  12. I had either forgotten, or neve realized that HNW sold Yammy's.
  13. They did! The new wheel came with the whole big wheel already attached! I think they made fairly thin for a reason.... Worn out wheels = more sales.
  14. Oh yeah! I remember that, too! Man, this is making me feel old!
  15. "drifting" with the big wheel! Only I didn't know what drifting was back then.
  16. Nah, they're very comfortable in their "situation"!!!!
  17. Anything less than $100 job doesn't get a guaranteed time slot, may be bumped by a bigger job. I'm going to guess that a $500 tune job would have breaks in the process, you could squeeze the $50 dude in, IF he even shows. Maybe modified version of something like that.
  18. THAT is baller! I remember the Green Machine, although I didn't have my own, I got to ride my cousin's.
  19. I have to agree that I haven't seen any particular group that doesn't wave. I've had some from all types of rider that don't wave.
  20. Did anybody else catch the news story on motorcycle awareness on NBC4 Columbus? I just saw it on the 11:00pm newscast. Here's a link: Spring Fever Brings Motorcycle Fever One thing that impressed me was them basically saying to not trust your mirrors, which is what I have heard from MANY motorcycle safety sources, and other peoples' personal opinions.
  21. Damn, I always seem to skip over that first step! I couldn't tell you how many airbags I've pulled without disconnecting the battery! I'm sure it's several hundred, and I haven't heard of hardly any that have deployed for that reason. With that said, I do not advise skipping any of the safety precautions. Did both airbags blow? If so, you have to replace both for either one to work. Some systems require the airbag module (computer) to be replaced at the same time. Something in the software will not let the system function again after deployment. As for advice, I have to agree with what many are already saying about learning financial responsibility. I WISH I could geet a grasp on it! Seriously. Live below your means now (less than you make) so that later you can live it up! Save now to be wealthy later.
