This. I have installed thread inserts on MANY of the 2v 5.4's, and a few 4.6's.

I have had excellent performance and reliability from the Toshiba's that I've owned. I'm not as thrilled with my wife's low-end model as I am my "next step up" (and a year older) model, so you do get what you pay for, to a point. I bought her's from BestBuy, on a sale, and mine came from toshibadirect.com when they still sould clearance and refurbished models on the site. Now the "deals" are on their ebay store.

I have a Fieldsheer textile jacket and riding pants both with insulated liners. They're pretty decent down to about 40-ish degrees. The annoying part is days where I need the liners for the ride in, but not for the ride home. It's a bit tedious to put the liners in and out each day.

I might have to pickup another set. They didn't work out all that well for me in the helmet (I haven't given up trying though) but they're pretty good for around work, the yard, other noisy environments. The sound quality is a little bit better than the pair of JVC's I have that have the hook for over the ear lobe, but the ear lobe ones tend to stay in my ears better under the helmet.

I have had a homebrew with peppers. Not bad at all. I enjoy quite a few of the Sam Adams varieties as well. I just don't like their main product, the Boston Lager very well.
