  1. Well cafe rel being closed changes everything. Going to revise my plan.
  2. No, the recall was a known issue when I bought the bike. Wire on the ignition rubbing on the tank. I fixed it the first week I had it. And it's more like 17K a year slacker.
  3. Well, I'm screwed on this trip and every other trip in the future. Got a recall notice from Ma Kaw today that clearly says 'Do not drive your vehicle until you get this fixed'. Well shit, if I can't drive it to the dealer I can't get it fixed. Have fun gang.
  4. Yep, FI, ABS and cruise are now mandatory on any bike I buy. And a cup holder.
  5. Poor R6 never had a chance since you have a newer FJR1300. R6 is a great bike, but that wasn't even fair.
  6. BTW, here is my current itinerary. Friday after work slab to Lexington. Saturday - Lexington to Robbinsville the back way sort of. https://goo.gl/maps/BHUzAoHDZUE2 (maps backwards, fu google) Sunday - Skyway, 68 and what not then dinner in Franklin at Cafe Rel then 28 to Robbinsville. https://goo.gl/maps/CWoTWjMTHnn Monday - Dragon, River Road to Gatlingburg area, BRP to Maggie, 209/212 then slab to 16 to Beckley https://goo.gl/maps/Snjm4Vd7kr52 Tuesday - Beckly to Home. Probably just slab it out. Dunno.
  7. Not even the ST or the BMW's? ST's are scary fast, no one realizes it though.
  8. Put them somewhere else, like flikr or smugmug or something and just link to them. You have to be a retarded genius to figure out Casper's system. Thanks Casper.
  9. Wife's Impreza is also CVT. No issues but only 10K on it. It sounds weird/different getting on an on ramp but you get used to it real fast.
  10. It happens, no explanation. It's like a spontaneous combustion thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XZaTVH-6Hc
  11. Maybe Ben, he clearly needs something more comfy.
  12. I had the same problem with my HJC years ago. My Shoei does not do that. So like the others said you need a more oval shaped helmet. Hit iron pony and start trying them on, the peeps there will know the ovals from the rounds. Leave it on for 30 minutes, walk around the store and look at stuff.
  13. Yep, that pic is epic. Considering I hate everything that says a lot.
  14. No, same world. That is why they tell you to get new bolts for that. You just got lucky the first time.
  15. Lol, red is permanent. I stand by my previous comment. http://us.henkel-adhesives-blog.com/post/All-About-Threadlockers/The-Difference-Between-Red-Blue-Green-and-Purple-Threadlockers/
  16. BikeBandit os by far the fastest dor factory paets. Or a good dealer can call Kaw for you....
  17. Correct, the law reads inform 'if armed'. If a licensee is the driver or an occupant of a motor vehicle that is stopped as the result of a traffic stop or a stop for another law enforcement purpose and if the licensee is transporting or has a loaded handgun in the motor vehicle at that time, the licensee shall promptly inform any law enforcement officer who approaches the vehicle while stopped that the licensee has been issued a concealed handgun license and that the licensee currently possesses or has a loaded handgun;
  18. We should have a meet and greet maybe Sunday morning somewhere in Robbinsville, like at a fast food breakfast place. Or at Tim's cabin Saturday night.
  19. With a witness and a confession they would have had him I think. Cops always try to get you to confess, 'Do you know how fast you were going' is for just that purpose.
  20. He claimed reckless, not speeding. Anyone can make that claim, up to the prosecutor to decide if it warrants prosecution...the fireman would have to testify at that point. My opinion, the State Police have already dismissed this whole thing without even investigating.
  21. All I know about them is my wife's Impreza is awesome and my next car will also be a Subaru.
  22. As you know, the Court changes it's position and has done so over the last few decades on this issue and many others. Do you not agree that the Court can do that...or that once it rules on something it can't ever be changed? For example In 1856 the Court ruled the Bill of Rights does not apply to African Americans. Would kind of suck if that had the force of law forever.
  23. Yea, me too. But don't tell Tim. He is really proud of his rate. Glad you are joining in.
