Welcome aboard! As you get into group riding remember the golden rule. Ride your own pace no matter how fast the group is going. Do not push it. Any group from here will wait for you at the next turn, and truly does not care if they have to wait. In fact it will make them happy that you are riding your own pace. Any group that won't wait, or tells you to speed up is a crap group and you should leave it immediately.

One of my favorites. Last year it was trashed, almost a gravel road in places....huge crater pot holes. It was not a road you could ride on. I can find no evidence on Google that it has been repaved so I would bet it is still the same. Someone will have to take one for the team and try it out I guess.

I can see not helping the friend/riding buddy. I would throw Pauly under the bus in a heartbeat. But family is a different story.

Of course. Borrow mine, take her for a spin and see if she is more relaxed. But you gotta slow down when she is on it. Going fast will be a deal killer. Took years before I could light it up with the wife on the back but I am still considerably slower when she is on it. It's her ride too. She keeps asking me...."why does this bike lean so much more than the Voyager?". Great deals on NOS Wings pre 18 but you give up a lot of sportiness, and my ride comfort is better. But they are still killer machines. There are below 20k deals on new 18s right now.

Add a good backrest or a trunk that wraps a bit. That makes the passenger more at ease.
