  1. Good stuff Aerik! Very refreshing perspective. I find it awesome that you use "black American" I see "african american" very similar to if I was to request people refer to me as "european american" ... Also... on another topic... why is "colored" taboo? If it's so bad why doesn't the NAACP change their name? I never understood that...
  2. I'll likely go, I'll keep an eye out for you.
  3. So I'd start with ReconRat's posts, but also... could you just try the reflector from the lo beam, then if it works just go buy another busted headlight for the reflector. Then, find a bulb with the same connectors as yours and the same LOW amps. splice the HI wires out so there's 4 instead of 2, run 2 of them in parallel with the LO beams, then run the other 2 to the HI beam.... I wonder if you could just wire a small transistor for the 2 that go into the HI beam. all in all.... is this something you're willing to do, cuz it doesn't seem like there is a plug and play kit.... edit: haha, I just described this thread it seems http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=63693 ... looks like that's what the guy did
  4. Yah, I suspect at MINIMUM you'll have to change the reflector on your hi beam. Best solution, replace the reflector, rewire both lights to be on all the time, then re-set the amps (I think?) on the high beam light so when you turn on the highs it runs more current through the bulb. So you'd need a split bulb like the single headlight stuff.... I used terminology I thought is correct, an electrical engineer and/or anyone else with electrical knowledge can correct me... please.
  5. Hence it's in "Off-Topic" section, way to make your first post count!
  6. qft, that's the same argument for all the bullshit... "all the other channels are for white people" "every day is MALE history month" And as a reminder most of the crap isn't exclusive... as a male you can join just about any "female" group... but noone does... that's how they get around it
  7. I'd like to know when/where/how the determination is made about warnings. So, when does an LEO not have a choice about giving a ticket. Thanks.
  8. ^ Also, the concerns around dryfiring is the firing pin has nothing to strike... the dummy rounds and/or cardboard negate that.
  9. you know what is an appropriate punishment? pull up his ledger and find a similar infraction.... if the LEO gave the guy a ticket good.... if he gave reckless op the LEO should get the same.
  10. lol, unfortunately I have a lot of practice with jams... hollow point 22s jam easy... I just double check the end of the barrel is clear with a flashlight or a lighter, then pull the slide back as far as possible and release it.... then if that doesn't work I smack the butt on the bench... There, that should have every gun owner twitch...lol
  11. So I'll be honest, never used a dryfire round... honestly thought you still had to pull the slide each time
  12. glad you posted this... is this the same trick as using a dryfire round?
  13. Just as an FYI, you can get a ring appraised for essentially any dollar amount within reason, I've seen the same ring range from 2k to 4k, the higher end the more range. It's hard to do an appraisal over the web, have to check the diamond color, inclusions, weight or defects, if you can figure this stuff out then would make it easier.

as thorough as this article is.... TLDR
  15. MAN... I saw a LOT of cars pulled over this weekend! 4 cars yesterday, 3 today.... it's ridiculous!
  16. LOL glad you're ok! My buddy had a similar experience a while ago... he was driving in his Saturn and it was making some funny noises so he pulled off the highway.... parked it and started walking away from it... it was making the normal cool-down ticking sounds. Got a little ways back and went to call someone to pick him up and the whole car burst into flames....
  17. Great work and adjustment! Another reason to leave her in 1st when at a light! Only regret is the guy didn't run into a pole to teach him/her a quick lesson
  18. Let me know when you make one for my bike... I think mechanical speedos are harder to adjust
  19. hehe, I was thinking about a new seat but it's not a priority. Let us know how the mods go, always fun playing around! So far all I've done is tap in some LEDs to highlight the engine at night, so nothing nearly as practical as you
  20. haha, saving the same thread! Happy fourth!
  21. I wasn't advocating for or against... just saying a past experience I had
