Thought I'd share some fun photos from a little get together I had last weekend for dual sport riders in the area. We meet up at the McDonalds in Plain City and rode the Abandond RR bed to Woodstock before heading to Catawba to hit a little creek crossing. Wished I'd seen this thread yesterday, I was over in Zenia last night on the strom visiting friends. Managed to miss all the deer and cops hiding with radar running though.

Radar detector paid for itself three times today as I went through small towns in western Ohio today. All three just sitting in pull offs with the radar pointing down the road in poorly marked 25 and 35 zones.

Post it on Craigs List, say clear title in hand, needs carbs cleaned and seasonal maintance. Don't disclose you need the $$$, makes you sound desperate to unload it. Just say you don't have time to ride due to work and get some better photos. No reason it shouldn't sell for $2600 cash in hand.

+1 If he's been a good guy and all it's only fair that you repair the damage and refund him the balance. (No reason to get greedy) Mistakes were made by both of you to create this situation. You for lettting an unexperienced, unlicensed driver with no gear on your bike, him for pushing the issue, saying he has experience and getting on a bike with no license and no gear.

You've never been to a real strip joint have you? For the right $$$ you can touch, smell, taste, and have it wrapped up in a bag for you to take home. Real relationships are much harder but offer greater rewards if you get into a good one. The current one I'm in is pretty good.

Biggest biginner problem is learning where the friction zone is on the clutch and how to "ride the clutch" a bit to get the bike rolling without popping a wheelie or stalling. I like the MSF technique of learning where that point is and becomming comfortable with it. Don't fully enage the clutch just use enough to ease the bike forword and then disengage and push back with your legs.

yeah, asses are important. But I'm old enough I stopped talking to asses and try to look at their face or at least their boobs

I know a guy who runs a HD dealership, three people on ADVrider who owned Buells and a mechanic who won't touch them. lol Just go on ADV rider and ask the general opionion of Buell bikes (usually the Uly is the bike being commented on). I would want to have the warentee start from the time I buy the bike not the point in time when people started riding it. I might even ask for an extended warentee and maintance record.

This summer is going to be really bad for tickets. Police are being let go because of pay cutbacks so to try and make up for decreasing funds they will issue more tickets. This will especially be true in small towns and rural areas. So be carefull out there and watch the signs!

I don't even use my speedo anymore. I just plug in the GPS and go, if a cop pulls me and I wasn't speeding I have a time/date stamped record of my speed and location. If I am speeding the police have a time/date stamped record of my speed and location.

Are they gonna provide a 1 year warentee from time of purchase or from time of inception? Either way, it's a Buell, not the greatest reputation in the circles I travel in.
