  1. This is gonna get interesting. Look at the ~5 pic on this page: http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?61169 Turns out the "hidden compartment" is factory, for routing ductwork. The guy - unless they can prove he USED it - is innocent.
  2. 1) Health privacy is a law. It can be amended by a bill as part of another law. The govt has to balance the privacy rights of one group of people against the safety of another. The trick is finding that appropriate balance. 2) Yes, we're screwed either way. 3) Some school districts allow teachers to carry guns. Harrold ISD, TX is the well known example. Many others are going through the process of allowing it. http://www.click2houston.com/news/North-Texas-school-district-allows-teachers-to-carry-guns/-/1735978/17832786/-/format/rss_2.0/-/a6lb0rz/-/index.html
  3. I lock it in a safe, as is a reasonable and commonsense precaution. Otherwise it will float up the stairs on its own and out into public and wreak untold havoc.
  4. This parts will be common with other GMs. Maybe a Saturn forum can tell you which mother models the parts interchange with? OR online... Try here: http://www.saturnparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.htm If nothing else, just to get a part number or dimensions. Maybe that same part# is available from Chevy, or there is a Chevy equivalent, etc.
  5. An o-ring, maybe? The thank that fell out - did it sound hard when it hit stuff in the way down? Inspect the blue clip well - are both the lugs intact and able to click into place in the black plastic socket? Is the black plastic socket intact too, so the clips can engage? Look at the fuel line closer to the camera - specifically the section of line that plugs into the the white clip - if you look inside the fitting that teh whote plastic clip plugs into can you see an o-ring in there? There's either a seal/o-ring missing or the fitting is not holding the line in tight enough.
  6. Yeah. This is what I meant: http://www.slidefire.com/products/ar-15/ssar-15-ogr
  7. Swapped the handguard for a picatinny quadrail. Would love to justify a slamfire stock.
  8. Cover-mounted? As in the metal cover over the top of the bolt, that retains the buffer spring? I'll keep an eye on that when I try mine out at the range.
  9. Some Tacticool fun... Before: After: Although TBH the spare mag holders make the gun VERY nose-heavy so I may remove them.
  10. If that is the tapco kit and it's 922r compliant then $500 isn't bad for an already converted sks. If the parts aren't stamped us-made then you'll need receipts showing part origins. Plus you're not having to go through the hassle of the conversion. I'd offer him 475 if it was confirmed compliant.

    AR-15 or?

Nope. My buying is all private right now, no papers.
  12. For reference, I just paid 290 for an original numbers-matching Chinese Norinco made in 1980 with a picatinny rail mounted scope. I also just paid $150 for all the parts I need to make it 922r compliant for pistol grip, telescoping stock and detachable mags. So, I just got the same gun he's asking $600 for, and I only paid $440.
  13. If it is a documented "imported before 1990" or it has had the "less than 10 foreign parts" conversion, then I'd pay 4-500 for it. Looks like it has the Tapco US conversion kit on it. Under the current circumstances the prices are silly.
  14. I'll be in a black Subaru sedan with tinted windows, roof rack and British flag hanging from the mirror.

  15. Obama just released a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5ynVMBxOus Looks like he's going for: - Grandfathered AWB - Grandfathered hi-cap magazine ban (I'd be ok with a hi cap clip ban but I'm sure that was just a mistake on his part) - NICS check for private sales. EDIT: Politically, he *has* to make an AWB stick now, because he's just caused the sale of an epic number of semi-auto rifles. AWB fails, he'll be remembered as the president responsible for one of the largest increases in firearms ownerships in history. He might as well have offered a free handy from Emma Watson with every sale.
  16. I don't think any reasonable person would conclude that a bystander or victim of a felony was doing *anything* "during the commission of a felony". I agree the wording should change to "while committing a felony".
  17. Now I can't find any reference to it? Possibly a headline put in cnn.com too early?
  18. Did anyone see Feinstein's response to the NRA? By the time i saw the "live: feinstein response to nra statement" story on CNN.com the presser had ended and now I can't find the text or video.
  19. So unless the kid is the offender, he's good?
  20. That store ceases to exist. If you can prove intent, epic jail time.
  21. Yep! $290, Tim Hortons in Urbana, noon.

  22. I thought that private property owners have no liability whether they post or not - but now I read it again I can only find immunity for private employer... http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2923.126 C(2)(a)
  23. Merry Christmas, or else!
  24. Am I the only one who thought; "Merry Christmas or what?"
