  1. I had a 1983 GW standard (no fairings) about 5 years ago. It had 9000 miles when I first got it. Bought it for $3000, rode it about 8000 miles, and 2 years later sold it for $3200. --- Lots of Honda non-sport bikes seem to hold value very well.
  2. Beautiful Porsche. I drove one a few years back. Wow! - What a sound at full bore..
  3. I waaannnnnntt. Make mine silver.
  4. Can you do an easy CAD model for a CNC mill job? PM me if interested. Might be some quick bucks.
  5. Stock brakes trashed! No linked brakes! RC51 Calipers, Super hawk lower fork legs, with stock VFR800 upper tubes, Traxxion Dynamics guts, stock rotor and wheel
  6. So its a drink and ride event.. it doesnt sound like a good idea to me. You could end up being this guy..... http://www.whiotv.com/news/23930240/detail.html
  7. Dustin -- Could you handle a tire job on a highly polished cruiser wheel without messing it up? Also balancing wise - can you use the "clip on" style weights that mount on the center ridge of the wheel? (Yeah, I'm talking about my big ass Valky beast.) - its the real wheel...
  8. So what are you replacing it with? (Let's see.. FJR1300? ST1300? Gold Wing?...)
  9. I go there most times - buy tires online and head to TU for mounting.. Price is 30 bucks a tire. I rarely have had a problem with them. Once in a great while, the front balance job is a bit off, but when I take it back for rebalance they nail it. (btw - wheel off bike.) So --- 4 stars (out of 5) for service. I buy my car tires there too.

  14. Its never been my kind of scene but dumb ass question - so how does a poker run work? (Yeah I know how to play poker)
  15. Looks interesting, I gotta admit I want to grab another 4th gen and tour it out. (Loved my old one) - Those bars seem kinda wide. is that just illusion? -Suggestion - throw a throttle rocker on it for the long haul, its nice to have an open palm to keep the throttle open and saves any grip fatigue. +1 for Speigler, great guys.
  16. I'm super cheap on cars, I just hate shelling out big money for them. You know the classic line of finding a car driven by the little old lady only on Sundays? - thats what I go after. My most recent find is a 1990 Accord - 95K miles . Even the body is pretty damn good on it. Paid 2000 bucks. --- heh heh, saves more money for motorcycles and stuff.
  17. Fonzie - you dont know me from Adam, but on any used car purchase the first thing to do is get a hold of a Consumer Reports book with the used car section in it. (Its available online too, but I think it requires a fee. - find a friend that has it.) --It has "frequency of repair" data for all the major manufacturers. The sections are broken down into various areas - engine/brakes/electrically/body etc. - Its very good for indications of reliabilty. Myself I buy used Hondas - generally grab 'em at around 100k miles and run 'em to 200k miles. Very reliable cars. Good luck
  18. Amazing, mbe the bimmers wife isnt giving him any? What an a hole....
  19. Well if money no object...(Just 2 ?? Screw that!) -Ducati Desmosedici -MV Augusta F4R 312 --Still think its the most beautiful sport bike on the planet -BMW S1000RR -Yamaha FJR1300 -Triumph Speed Triple -A second 5th gen VFR800 with the Toro supercharger and Ohlin forks and shocks.. - Custom chopper with new Triumph parrallel twin - Any of the older V4 two stroke GP bikes - RC750 - Husqvarna STR650 CRC - jeez, this one looks fun! --BMW HP2 Sport.... And finally --- A highly equiped, big huge ass garage to hold it all....
