You will be able sleep though the night in about 10 years.....

This route has been mentioned on a local Subaru owners forum, so I am sure it is steadily seeing more traffic.

Mostly the garage sales in my area are childrens clothing and toys. If I am out and about and I see a garage sale, I will usually stop in, never knowing what you will find. I collect Kodak Brownie camera's and normally can find those for $1 - $10. The best deal I found awhile ago was an automotive low profile "creeper" for $5. It is the kind shaped like a dog bone. I know this style was expensive when they were new. Last week, at a garage sale, a guy was selling a 1976 Honda Hobit moped for $300 but no title. It would make a decent pit bike for getting around Mid-Ohio camp ground, but the no title thing did not make it a good deal. I told him if he got the title I would offer $200. Estate sales and auctions seem to have a little of all types of house hold items, so depending on what you are looking for, those might be time well spent.

One item missing from the picture in post #9 is the helmet still attached to the helmet lock, instead of on the riders head. Cuz, you know, those Bell helmets make the best frame sliders when you crash.

It has been 6 weeks, and our dog's toys are still on the floor in the living room. Still have the dog lead hanging on the hook by the side door. I will get around to removing them someday.

Sorry to hear this. It does suck, but think of the joy and the loving home you have provide for your pup. The day we got back from our vacation in May 2013, we made the choice to put down our dog, Kinser, of 17 years, It was bitter sweet, just getting back from a great vacation then getting home to see the dog just laying around, no energy. He had a hard time walking, so I carried him outside and up the stairs every time for the last 6 weeks, Couldn't see or hear to well. The wife and I held him at the vet and we were there till the end. One nice touch, the vet gave us a plaster paw print of Kinser.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. May you and her family and friends be comforted during this time.

Great pictures!!

The north campground is closed. I am set up on the point by the Honda pavilion. Look for the blue Durango by the fence in front of the motorhome with a banner that reads " chateau skippy". The other motorhome in the group has a vanity plate that reads " luv shak"

WOW, I like some of the old cars and a lot of the old bikes. Would make a great trailer full of bike to bring to Vintage bike days at Mid-O.

One place I visited was Biltmore Estate in Asheville. "Completed in 1895, George Vanderbilt's 250-room chateau" The drawback is tickets are about $50 per person. http://www.biltmore.com/ If you are into NASCAR racing, Moorseville has a large percentage of NASCAR team shops that are free to visit, but may charge for a museum tour, if they have one. If you like wine, one of the nice places is Childress' Vineyards.http://www.childressvineyards.com/home.asp I am not much of a beach fan, so I don't have any input for you there.

Motorcycle Radio Show? Soliciting Input From The Forum
scottb replied to RVTPilot's topic in Daily Ride
The 5- 7 time slot, I am either still at work or driving home and stuck in 271 traffic. I do not have an "unlimited data" plan on my cell phone , so I not sure I could listen to Internet based stuff through my cell phone while stuck in traffic. Not sure what I would want to hear about on a radio show. If it would be local stuff, charity events or group rides, then what defines local when you are on the Internet? Very cool idea to get motorcycles out to the public, but just not sure what make it a "good show" for me, format wise. I have a 30 year old motorcycle, so maybe if a sponsor had a salvage yard and spoke of the "classic" models or parts interchangability from other models, would be interesting to hear. Maybe a segment if your show can take live calls, or email, facebook, twitter questions, Like the car show on National Public Radio " CLick and Clack" were you can answer questions on bike symtoms/ repair questions? Throw out topics like your first bike, or what bike would you buy if money was not an issue? Or get a racer to talk about track days and what to expect or share an experience at a track and costs involved? Maybe a review of places to ride too, like the Dragon, or what to expect on a ride out west? Again, it is a great concept, just not sure what it would take to keep me listening to a podcast. -
So it seems we need more firearm posts. All this summertime riding gets in the way of the firearms.

Looks like a sweet road. When I was in Sedona, AZ, I rented a motorcycle ( Harley from Eagle Riders) and rode 89A to Jerome, AZ, and then on to Flagstaff. The elevation changes a few thousand feet in the span of just a few miles, you could really feel the temp change. The scene changes from desert to pine trees is drastic. We stopped in small town called Happy Jack, AZ, for a gas stop and fuel. Love the roads in AZ.

Watching X-games on ESPN and they are showing the "Step-up" event. It is like pole vaulting, but with moto-cross bikes. Currently, they are jumping over 28 feet. These guys are crazy.

I will be there all weekend, as a spectator.

I found a great Cleveland brewery called Indigo Imp, beer called "Blond Bombshell" My usual "goto" beer has been Sierra Nevada - Pale Ale and Rogue - Dead Guy Ale Lately I have been on an IPA kick too.

Sweet car! LBTS GLWS. Amazed at how the STi's hold value. Which is why I bought a Legacy. Much less expensive.

I do not want to see required training for a Right. I do hope that gun owners / carriers would WANT to become proficient by practice and training. But everyone is different, some will and some won't.
-
I will be camping there all weekend. I will be camping near Honda bridge in with the RV's. After the races, I will be cruising around the tent campground area on whatever pit bike / golf cart I can borrow.

Thoughts and prayers to you, your Dad and rest of the family.
