  1. Good Luck to all the hunters this season.
  2. The AK looks decent, and at $300, is below current market value..... I will give you $305 for it
  3. Channel 19 news in Cleveland just ran the story. Mentioned there was a deli on the second floor, and a worker smelled gunpowder?
  4. I like playing, but I kinda suck at it. I know how and where to hit the cue ball, sometimes I can control the "English" . But I usually fail in the execution of the shot. Still have fun when I get to play. My dad had a pool table in his basement, but the side walls were tight and you had to use the short sticks for those shots.
  5. I had my first camper at http://www.woodsidelake.com/ in Streetsboro. It is off 480 and Frost road.
  6. The fuses were all good. The battery showed 12.X with key off, then went down to 3.4 with key on.
  7. I bought a new sealed Yuasa battery 2 weeks ago and it was $90 at a local motorcycle shop in Oakwood, Ohio. I was all set to go off on ride, hit the starter, bike turned over for about a second, heard an "pop" and then nothing. No head light, no starter crank. Two days before, the bike started and ran fine.
  8. I will send you $100,000, including shipping. Just send me back the difference?
  9. Congrats!! So with the truck and the camper top, it will be a nice upgrade from the tent / sleeping in the SUV.
  10. Just a quick update, I will be looking at the truck and 5th wheel RV this Saturday. I am pretty sure I am gonna buy the truck for sure. No plans yet to hot rod it, just drive it "as is". Although, after looking at some truck on the powerstroke.org forum, there is some sweet lift / tire combo's out there.
  11. Nice score Speedy. The black power looks cool and will give you that "old time-y" feeling, but seems like you really have to know what you are doing, and the bit of clean up.
  12. We could setup a blind on top of the camper.
  13. ok, so this is clearly a "no-brainer" on my end......Thank you
  14. Thanks for all the replies. I am pretty sure this will be my new truck next weekend. Even if it will need some basic things, not a big deal i just was concern about longer term ownership.
  15. I think I will "pimp my Durango" like that. I would go old school and get a grill from a Cimmaron ( the Cadilac / Chevy Cavalier ) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a1/1988_Cadillac_Cimarron.jpg
  16. I have a chance to purchase a very low mileage ( 26,600) 2003 Ford F350 extended cab, 8 foot bed, 2 wheel drive, automatic, Powerstroke 7.3 liter turbo diesel. I searched Google and seen issues with the 6.0 diesel engine. The 7.3 seems to be hit or miss. This truck was used by a retired couple to haul a 35 foot fifth wheel RV to Texas every year since 2003. They did the snowbird thing. The husband passed away in 2011 and the wife is looking to sell. The one son drove the truck a few times a year, just to drive it so it would not be sitting. They are the original owners and the truck was purchased just to tow the RV. When the truck and camper was back in ohio for the summer, both were stored in side a large out building on their property. I have only seen one picture of the truck and there is zero rust that can be seen in the side profile picture. As for the engine, this will be my first diesel. Beside the basic stuff, oil level and condition, check for leaks, and under the truck for rusty lines or dry rotted tires, what areas should I check on the engine itself? I suspect the owner will have any service history since they needed the truck to haul to Texas and it appears they have the means to keep up on any thing it may have needed. I also have the option to purchase the 5th wheel to, but currently do not have place close by to store a 35 foot camper. SO, what do I need to know about a powerstroke?
  17. The key lock style. The point where the cable goes through the case does look a bit flimsy, but I figure it would make it a little more of a effort to get the cable out of the locked box. Like, one step up from just having the lock box in the vehicle, not secured to anything. I have only had to use it one time to actually store my firearm. I try not to go to places that are posted, but sometimes it can not be helped.
  18. I have nothing to add to the thread, other then my first bike was a 72 Honda 500. I bought it used in 1986 and it only had a quarter tank of gas in it when purchased.
  19. I have a friend that owns a company that installs windows and doors, but not sure if he does glass block. I can call him and ask.
  20. Just though, maybe this hotel had a "business center" with UPS and they already had all the UPS packing and labeling stuff. So it would be easier on the staff if they just used what they had in lobby instead of driving to post office?
  21. Neat idea for the camper top on a trailer. And not to be dickey, but make sure to have a way to secure your generator so you don't have the same experience you had during your last hunting trip.
  22. I looked at the Sti's and the north of 40K price tag make me look at and purchase a used, cerified 2011 Legacy ( my first Subaru. Good on dealer that they provided a loaner car and kept up communication with you. I am also not sure how a gasket change could lead to a major leak. Maybe they over torqued the bolts and cracked the valve covers? if that is even possible on the covers. On a side note, I am due for a spark plug change on my 2.5 non-turbo engine, looks like a tight fit for the engine inside the engine bay.
  23. Appearance is very thing too. I have a friend in the window business. Before entering a house, he puts on the those work boot "cover up booties" and puts down drop clothes from the enterance to the work area. Since you are already doing this as a daily job, this is something you are probably already doing, although a drop cloth on the steps to the basement might be a trip hazard. We had a complete furnace and outside central air unit installed from a company normally that services the eastern ohio area. They still came out to our area. They left company logo-ed coffee mugs, fridge magnets, and 3 days later, sent a small flower arrangement as a "thank you for choosing us". After the install / service, they gave us $5 off the bill if we left a company sign in the front yard for a week. After a week, a person from the company picked up the sign, and stopped in to make sure we were happy with the service and gave a chance for any questions or concerns that may have come up. My City, Bedford, has a law that signs have to be 25 feet from the center of the street, meaning that you can not have signs on the front tree lawn, but a few feet into the main yard is allowed. ( I live on a 2 lane street ) The company also offered a "VIP club" that you pay up front, and this covered the 6 month inspection when switching from funace to AC in the summer. Also provides priority service if a call is needed. And communication!! I like when service companies call a few days before the service as a reminder, then also call the day before the service.
  24. I had light surface rust on a parkerized revolver from what I suspect was due to being stored in a foam lined case. I cleaning with CLP sprayed on some cleaning patches and wiped down with Hoppe's oil. Then a second wipe down with Hoppe's #9 and a final wipe down with Hoppe's oil. Before: AFTER:
