  1. Living in the city, I do not have a range in the back yard where I can set up different drills and shoot whenever I wanted, so I have 2 options, the 15 minute ride to the indoor range, or the hour plus drive to the outdoor range. One issue I face while at the indoor range ( Stonewall), is they do not allow drawing from a holster. I end up starting out from a low, ready position, or at least as low as the top of the bench in front of the range line will allow. My indoor range drill is usually a sheet of notebook paper with 5 circles in the layout of the number 5 as it would appear on a set of dice. Two circles in the top row, one circle in the center, and two circles in the bottom row. The circles are about 2 inches in diameter. I have a series of number written down and will pick a string of numbers, such as 1 5 3 2 4, so that is the pattern for those ten shots. Replace the target, reload and pull another series of numbers. The outdoor range trips( A and A in Garrettesville ) are limited based on the weather, and If I have a window of time that allows the longer drive and the total time shooting. I will go to the 100 yard range and set up soda can, skeet clays and whatever else is laying around at different distances 25,50,75 100 yards on the tractor tires. Usually the out door range time is done with rifles. At the outdoor range, I can get more area, left to right ( depending on the number of other shooters) Most of my movement on the range has been just a twist left to right at the waist, but never moving while standing. I do need to practice more at home drawing from a holster

    Honda Grom

Todd, send an email to Honda America and see if they will send you one to review for the betterment of the OR forum. That does look cool.
  3. Speedy, if we can work it out, a road trip would be cool.
  4. One of my first car repairs was helping a friend replace the brakes on a 80's Ford Festiva, the little POS 2 door style. The front brakes, no problem. Replacing the left rear brake shoes, no problem. Moving over to the right rear side, I could not get the hub nut removed with a breaker bar. Not a big deal, fire up the air impact gun, still the nut is not moving, just the sound of the impact gun going Bat-Bat-Bat and then a sudden ZING. The nut is turning, but not moving off the spindle. It turns out that on this car, the right rear nut is LEFT HANDED THREAD!! I trashed the nut and the spindle. That was kinda awkward when your friend is stand there next to you.
  5. The tornado sirens went off about 11:15 PM, but no wind or rain at my house. So far, round one of the storms and nothing at all happened in my area. The 2 - 3 AM string of storms might be different.
  6. The sun just came out here and we turned on the AC to cut down on the muggy-ness. I have a flashlight/lantern next to me in case we lose power later tonight when the storms arrive.
  7. I would be interested in one for a CZ-82.
  8. Hope everyone in the west and south of Ohio are doing ok with no damage or hail. Looks nasty on the Cleveland TV station radar. Predicted that Cleveland will get major storms around 2 AM this morning. At 7:30 PM, it rained here for like a minute, not major at all .......... yet.
  9. Cool, only a 6 hour round trip for me. Dang it. Why is all the cool stuff way down south!! Anyone near by Delta going to be at Mid-Ohio this weekend for the Rolex cars?

    New To Me

Congrats on the new to you ride.
  11. Congrats MJ!! Y'all be safe down there and have fun.
  12. Do want one eventually, but saving for a PPS or a Shield first........ ( stupid non-unlimited budget)
  13. Congrats to her. Most bike nights do not promote the sale of water or soda. But as riders, we have the choice to make on what beverages to have.
  14. If I did not already have plans on the 22nd, I would make the trip on my 82 GS. Almost Vintage, maybe.
  15. Welcome, from right down the road
  16. The concept looks useful. Would have the see where / how the image is projected on the visor. What if the visor is open just a crack for ventilation? Does the image "project" from the helmet to the inside of the visor? Oh, it looks like there is a molded part on the front of the helmet that houses the screen.
  17. I wasn't on a motorcycle at the time, but the area around Zion national is amazing. Kanab,UT had a few good sites too. I will have to check our vacation notes for roads and sites.
  18. Semi hot chicks from another country, what is not to understand? Although some could be tourists too. You never see these people at Walmart.
  19. I will never tell It was rainy and cold the entire time of my trip
  20. My wife also likes shoes, I took pictures of the shoes inside the mega-fancy store called Herrod's in London.
  21. We went to St Paul's church, originally built in 602, Yes, 602. It was rebuilt a few times due to fires. The wife wanted to see this place due to Princess Dianna was married there. Being that June 5th will mark one year of my Father's passing, we stayed for a church service and I lit a candle for him, so that was a neat bonus. The city of London is 2000 years old. So the varity of buildings are just awesome to see. A few building still have damaged brick and stonework from the war. Every high end car dealership is there, McLaren, Bugatti had 6 Veyrons in the window, Aston-Martin,
  22. I think i might have written the rates incorrectly, one Euro was $1.38 and one pound was $1.58, so it did not work in my favor, very expensive. We really only had 3 days in London. There is so much to do there depending on what interests you. I did look for Holland and Holland, the shotgun company, but there are 2 streets with the name Bond in them and we ended up going to the wrong one. With the train system, you are only a few hours from anywhere. I would have liked to visit some sites in Germany, but ran out of time. My friend from London Ruedi owns a company called Hotrod Technologies and they specialize in American muscle cars. He owns a 67 Camaro, and a 65 Mustang. He drove us around in his Porsche Cayenne S, right hand drive.
