    My hero!

LOL, no it takes a certain kind of person to appreciate a Quentin Tarantino flick. I love pretty much everything he has been involved with though, especially Pulp Fiction.
  2. The slower feeling is probably in your head, anytime I got new tires it makes the bike feel like it handles slightly different...you will get used to it quickly. Nice choice of bikes btw, those 7R's are cool bikes.
  3. It's tough sometimes...there have been many days I have been standing in my garage staring at my bike on a beautiful 80 degree sunny day and not being able to leave the house and ride because I am watching the kiddo(s) while wife is at work (I work nights and she works days). She has some family here, but I didn't grow up here so I have absolutley NONE to help out watching the kids so I kinda feel your pain. Hope you guys get it figured out and are able to go!!
  4. +1 or a VT1100 Shadow ACE if power is a concern. Both are super relaible. The 1100 doesn't need valve adjustments either and the shaft drive is nice.
  5. Eh it is just a prefernce thing.
  6. I bought an inexpensive Compaq (HP) refurb laptop last year just to do school work and type papers on...it has really shocked me as to how reliable it has been. It's not the fastest AMD procesor but with 3GB RAM, DVD R/W, 15.6 display, 250GB HD it gets the job done and runs Windows 7 just fine. For $250 bucks I can't complain. It is my first HP amd has served me well for over a year with no problems whatsoever.
  7. If that SV1000 is legit, buy it...NOW. If it is a scam, the 2000 SV650 and the 2000 ZX9R both seem like they have potential. You could negotiate some on both I would say. You should have started this shopping back in December, you could have bought a lot more bike for the money then.

    Intro

That seems to be happening a lot to the more entertaining threads on here lately.
  9. I remember that..it was kinda funny especially when Honda started painting them black and orange, they kinda looked like a mini heritage softtail. Cool bikes though. I really enjoy my VT1100 Sabre...it's kinda like Honda's version of a Fatboy I guess.

Liquid Glass or Zaino are the best IMO, Mothers makes a good product too.
  11. Welcome to OR, you are not alone...I learned to ride on sport bikes, now on a cruiser.
  12. Because my name is Andrew...friends call me Drew...and I used to have a '95 Mustang GT garage queen(before kids).
  13. They are cool bikes, not meant to be speed demons. They are comparable to a Ninja 650R, not a R6. Calling them slow really isn't a fair assessment, especially when coming off of a 1000cc sportbike...pretty much anything less is going to seem super slow.

Sounds like a good time for a good cause. I want to do it, once it gets a little closer and I am sure I can get off from work I will confirm.
