    Intro

From one Sabre owner to another...Welcome to OR!!
  2. +1 or Auto Zone. That will give you a place to start diagnosing your problem.
  3. The market is saturated with Rad. Techs looking for jobs. I was talking to the HR manager at one of my jobs and he said that now they can pick and choose who they go with and they have stacks of resumes for Rad Tech positions. I believe it since there was a waiting list at my college for several years to get into the Radiology program, they were that full of students. I ended up going with Respiratory Therapy and was recruited straight out of college. I now have 1 full time and 1 contigent job, with the option of going full time at the contingent job if things ever get bad at my full time job. I still decided to go back to school, only because I want to get into the management side of it and I need my MHA for that. Your wife should be good when she becomes a RN, there are ALWAYS positions open for nurses.
  4. I would say a ST1300 sounds more of what you are alooking for.
  5. I like my iPad quite a bit, but I would NEVER want to try to type a serious paper or do school work on it...it's more of a novelty item and not a laptop replacement. As long as you know this going into it, you will love your tablet.
  6. The Black Lab is my boy Duke, rescued him from the shelter about a year ago. He is about 3 or so now and is such a gentle boy, I just love him. The Chocolate Lab mix is a dog I picked up from the same shelter a few days ago for my parents. Mom and Dad lost their Aussie a few years back and missed the companionship so the asked me to find them a good shelter dog. She is such a sweetie!! Hard to tell what she is mixed with but she is only about 50lbs with super short brown hair, docked tail, and strong as an ox..lol.
  7. I think Honda screwed themselves big time with the new VT1300 line. I like those bikes...quite a lot actually, but I will be shocked if they have the same sales numbers as the old VTX line had. They have drifted away from the traditional cruiser, which is a huge seller here. They sold a TON of bikes with the VTX and VT1100 styling due to their classic looks and Honda reliability. People that want a traditional cruiser will now vertainly be looking more at HD's, Vulcans, Boulevards...etc.
  8. Cool man!!! I will be contacting you this spring for some new tires for my Honda for sure!
  9. You should be able to find some decent bikes in that range. Look at the older (early to mid 2000's) Shadows, Boulevards, and Vulcans. I saw a lower mileage Shadow Aero on there for like $2500 the other day...with Cobra pipes.
  10. Only in countries that don't like cruisers. They just make a niche product, the niche just happens to be huge in this country.
  11. I was just at the BMV the other day with a guy who was dealing with this. The BMV told him that the car is not driveable until it is fixed. They will give you a temporary pass to drive it to get inspected after it is fixed (for $50.00), then you must show that it passed inspection and return to the BMV for them to issue you a repaired/salvage title. His truck was just cosmetic damage to both sides of the body, no mechanical issues...but they still said that it is illegal to operate on the road. As far as selling it goes, I don't think you can unless you sell it for scrap until you get a rebuilt title. This is just my understanding from what the lady at the BMV said, I would still call them and ask to be sure.
  12. Sweet Hayabusa, sounds mean as hell!! Can't believe all of the haters posting up...anyone that has seen your threads know that it is a DRAG bike and that it is stretched for a reason. Thanks for posting up!
  13. No, but that seems like a good deal. I like my Kel-Tec P32, going to be picking up the 3AT as well soon. I think you will like that PF9.
  14. Never been on a strom...can't get past the looks of the thing honestly and I would have no use for its off road capabilities. Been on a 650R (and I liked it) which is pretty similar to a Versys except for the riding position and suspension. I was just speaking subjectively from a looks point of view on the Versys vs. this bike. I'm sure all three bikes have their good/bad points though. For a Honda I was pleasantly shocked at the price, I was expecting 9k or better MSRP on this bike. I am not sure I would opt for the DCT on this bike though, a little too underpowered.
  15. Clean looking Nighthawk, those are cool bikes.
  16. I think this is a different engine from the Deauville.
  17. Looks way better than the strom, and for people that don't need any serious off road ability it is a solid choice. Looks more like a competitor to the Versys if you ask me, in which case I would take this bike over a Versys any day of the week.
  18. Orange and red one looks best to me.
  19. Just get a u haul or a moving van like Mag's said. The small u hauls are nice due to the built in ramps for loading.
  20. Yeah I think a 750 Shadow would be good for you. If you are concerned about engine size find a 1100 ACE or Sabre like mine. My VT1100 Sabre moves me just fine and I am pushing 300lbs.
  21. I don't see the big issue...and I consider myself pretty much a libertarian. It's just a joining of two people that want to spend the rest of their lives making each other happy (or miserable)...hell, I think that if I wanted to marry my Labrador I should be able too. Take the religious aspect out of it...it isn't about that.
  22. Not counting family members, which is obvious, I would grab my dog.
