  1. Only 4?? That's crazy. My 2013 Elantra has 8...yes 8, who the hell needs to hydrate that much while driving.
  2. Because Americans don't like hatchbacks as a rule, they prefer big ass cars and SUV's with 50 cup holders and sofa chairs for seats. Europeans have a bit more practicality to their thinking when it comes to cars. Same reason smaller displacement and naked bikes are so popular over there but don't sell well here (except for the Ninja 250 and CBR 250 which are marketed as beginner bikes). Americans want their super big cc sport bikes and loud ass H-D's..screw practicality. I must be in the minority because most European cars appeal more to me than their American counterparts...with the exception being muscle cars. Same goes for bikes for the most part, but the manufacturers are getting better at bringing over some great models like the naked FZ8, ER6-n (for a few years), XJ Diversion (FZ6R), CBR 250, etc.
  3. I try to avoid 270 if at all possible. I have about been hit so many times in my cage on that road, I don't even want to think about riding it unless I absolutely have to. Some nice deserted 2 lane country highway is much better scenery at 5am as well. Not to mention 270 has become bumpy as hell in many places, especially with all of the road work on the west outerbelt.

    2003 z-1000

Trade ya one of my kids...lol...kidding (maybe). Seriously though, nice bike!!! If I had the coin I would be all over this.
  5. Clean bike, but like mentioned about 500-800 too high. I would love to pick up another 250 Ninja to zip around on, my old one was sooo much fun to ride.
  6. Some guy my wife knows...yeah it was a white hayabusa. Broken collar bone and some road rash, otherwise ok from what I was told.
  7. GLWS nice SV. I understand what you mean about the family keeping you busy. For those that say "just ride it when you go places" ...well, it is tough to fit a car seat to the back of a sportbike, it's a bit different when you have little ones.
  8. I have used Avira Free and currently MSE, no problems with either.
  9. Root of the problem right there...
  10. Welcome from another Marysville rider!
  11. As for sportbikes, ninja 650, fz6r, sv650, gsx650f would all fit the bill. Cruisers I would look at another Shadow, Vstar 650 or 900, or a Vulcan 900. Standards you can't go wrong with a Bonneville, Versys, Monster 696, or something along those lines.
  12. ...only attracts skanks and crystal meth addicts. LMAO
  13. Wow, nice bike!!! Congrats!!
  14. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family Scott. My mom has been dealing with Stage 4 breast and bone cancer since 2009, it's been a tough road and I am not looking forward to the day that I have to make some of those tough decisions that I know will need to be made. Like has been said, cherish the time you have left...

    "Nice bike"

I totally agree, especially about the Hayabusa part.
  16. Welcome!!! That's quite a jump in bikes from a RC51 to a 'Glide!
  17. Welcome, and good choice with the FZ6R...I really like those!

    "Nice bike"

Just usually a "thanks" with a smile. If someone doesn't know bikes then I guess mine could be mistaken for something custom with the blade looking aluminum wheels and flame paint job, even though it is all stock.
  19. Why does it really matter if gay people want to get married...or if a woman has an abortion? Neither one of those should be any f*cking business of politicians in the first place. Christian agenda has no place in politics either, this country is too diverse to shove one ideology down everyone's throat. Let people pray to whatever version of Santa Claus they believe in, and let politicians go about taking care of real business like keeping our country's economy from imploding and promoting higher education to allow our workers to be competitive on a global scale.
  20. Mustang...hands down. I had a '93 GT convertible, '95 GT Coupe, and a 2005...loved them all. Would have another, but they are not too practical with kiddos.
  21. Good for Zimmerman, hope he gets something for the witch hunt those folks started.
