  1. Fishing can be a lot of things to people. Relaxing, getting food, or just for a challenge. It can also be a money pit like cars. I’m interested in hearing how you like it Brian. Good Luck.
  2. Sounds good. Just let me know.
  3. Sounds like a fun pond Shaun. Let me know if I can help with any pond care info or managing the fish. Blue Herron’s will ruin you stock. Do all you can to chase them off.
  4. Dammit Derek. Glad to see you post here. Seems we are the only ones excited for fishing. The thing with musky fishing for me is, I don’t want to troll for them. I want the cast, and then to work the lure and have it get it. Although the boat is on point to be able to troll, I have the rod holders and the 9.9 kicker on. I will go after them that way at some time. But, I want that cast and catch. I also want to hit the sauger and eye’s a bit this year too. I want some fish in the freezer.
  5. Kerry, thanks for not writing a book with your correction to what I posted. I had not looked into this since my dad told, and hell that could have been 15 years ago when he drove through there all the time, in a commercial truck. But this is just showing one more stupid thing about over regulated NY. Not running a radar detector in a commercial vehicle is a federal law, but NY wants to make sure they have it in their books too. United States Radar Detector Laws Radar detectors are completely legal to use in non-commercial vehicles. Virginia and Washington DC are the only 2 areas in the United States that currently have a ban on the use of radar detectors. There is also a federal law banning the use of radar detectors in any commercial vehicle over 10,000 pounds. Radar detectors are also illegal on any military base.
  6. NY police run different than we see here in Ohio. They don’t have to have running light on when parked and can absolutely hide. So how can they enforce this on Waze? I don’t see how they can. NY is a no radar detector state, so disconnect your radar or pay a ticket if caught. But waze could only implement a home of record restriction to their system. Out of state travelers are still going to run waze. All this does is hinder the tax payer and benifit the traveler. That will never happen.
  7. Columbus fishing Expo. https://www.columbusfishingexpo.com/ Anyone going this weekend? I'm shooting to be there Sunday for a couple of seminars I'm interested in. I've posted about this every year on here and know there are several people on CR who fish. Anyone on here target Muskies? I'm fine hitting large and smallmouth bass all day. But, muskies are what I really want to hit more of. Our Canada trips have been great for getting on Pike and the other people in the boat getting muskies, I'm just not pulling them in. I'm be hitting all the "go to" lakes for them in Ohio this year. Didn't know if anyone on here is after them and interested in linking up for them? Vid from last June's fly in trip to Northern Ontario to fish for Pike. Amazing views up there and landing on the water was pretty cool in such a small plane.
  8. I’m all for the skilled trade push, but that does not mean college has no value. It’s not like his kids are 16+ and he’s just now looking to pay for them saying they want to go to school. With mom and dad both having a college education, there is a higher chance the kids will go to college too. Given that, the man’s been trying to maximize the funds in the right place for that opertunity to be there. The man imigrated to the US and is damn near the text book example of what is hoped for from someone moving here. He has a very nice house and it’s paid for. I’m guessing there are less then ten people on this site that can say that. Telling someone you feel sorry for their kids because the parent is making sure they have things in place for them to persue the field of interest, even college, sounds like you would just push your kid into a trade because you don’t want them to go to school. Then your kid becomes the one with the student loans and is exactly the problem you hate.
  9. Great find, Tim. Cool that your Son and you will have this to work on.
  10. Only 200 are coming to the US. That said, it’s not suppose to be for everyone. We are far too long on CR and this cost to power and performance topic has been beat up time and again. Most of us here are pretty senseable, and the S209 cost to performance isn’t something we can make sense of. There are so many other places to put $60k to us. This car is going into garages that have throw away money and collectors. We will hear about a few that get modded to make around 500-700hp and then they will fall out of the press when they break or wreck. CR and new car Subru cost for the performance will never be on the same page.
  11. I thought I joined in the Summer of 2001. I remember being out off Broad St with Yetzer and his brother and the bike hit the car while drag racing at an industrial complex. Cops showed up and blocked us all in. I was "Bimmerjoe" at the time. 1999 BMW 323i 1994 Mazda RX7 1999 Subaru Legacy GT 2007 Subaru Legacy specB 2011 Subaru STI Limited 2005 Chevy Siverado 2500 HD 8.1 2018 Ford F150 Still have the FD.
  12. I might hit this topic up again when there's warm weather. It's not for everyone, but it a lot of fun.
  13. They are limited to 60". There are so many off road parks out there now, I have not interest in Wayne. Anything over a 800cc, will likely not fit at Wayne.
  14. https://www.roxoroffroad.com/roxor-offroad-vehicles Underpowered, overweight, and those two make it over priced; given what's on the market. If you're 70 and live in a golf cart community and you want something different, that's what you buy. They are neat though.
  15. I'm a little surprised there aren't more responses. I know a few people had them years ago and got out of them. I just thought more people here had them.
  16. This is a thread to gauge interest and see who here is into off roading with side by sides, or 4 wheelers. If there is some interest, my thought is to organize a CR off road meet some place. I've been to Wild Cat in KY and Wind Rock in TENN, but not to any of the closer places. What I have seen from these places is that weather certainly plays a factor, and it depends on how you like to ride. Some people just like to cruise trails, climb hills, hit the mud, and even some water fording. Post some pics and where you have been, and if you'd be up to have a meet. Feel free to suggest a place and then we can do a poll to see where to go. I haven't posted a pic since photo bucket went to shit, so I need to find a new host. Here's a 4 minute hill climb from TENN.
  17. Did he hit a bird feeder pole? We had some fun today too. 2014 Can Am Maverick 1000R
  18. Thanks for saving me from writing this. You said it much better. Am I the only one that sees this topic to be the gender war of the car world? Once modified to 1000HP, the Supra can identify as a Super car? Unmodified Supra's haven't chosen if they are a super car or not yet, but like the attention like if they were modified. Yet, they don't want to got through all the trouble of being modified.

I have an outlet nearby, just no hard wired doorbell in the house.

After a little more looking into it, I may be able to go with Simplisafe for the doorbell. Seems like it only needs to get power, per this vid. Please watch it and tell me I'm not misunderstanding this. He talks about it at the 3:10 mark in the vid.
  21. When and where, are my factors. Buckeye Karts are a bit less in performance, IMO. GPK karts are mostly good, and driver input has more value than the electric Karts. Buckeye seems well organized. However, GPK never has the same employee there for more than 6 months, except for Henry. Can be frustrating, but once you're on the track the fun facture makes up for it. GPK, has a better viewing area and tracking system for people to see lap times. Buckeye has a good viewing area, but lap times don't seem to be posted until end of race in a printout. GPK, you can go out after and commit a felony with the locals after racing. Buckeye, you can go to the casino after racing and lose again there.

Have to have an existing doorbell set up. We do not. Installing one is the PITA I'm trying to avoid. Would need to add a breaker and don't have room.

Tim, I don't have Ring. I have been back and forth for over a year about getting one. I bought one and returned it before installing. There are thousands of reviews about the non subscription lag with the app. There is something about a company that is set up that way that really frustrates me and is keeping me from going with them. If I were to install, the distance from Ring to router would be less than ten feet. My prior frustrating wifi range extender posts are out to the shop and other garage, over 50 feet and one being a steel building. I still don't have a happy solution on those areas.

I needed something that is monitored by more than my wife and I. Simplisafe ran a promo at the end of the year, and I went with that. I still have a few things I'm tying in with Samsung Smart Things also. What I can't seem to pull the trigger and justify, is the right video doorbell. The Ring sounds good at first, but pisses me off. I need something not hard wired and able to link with wifi, that has voice and video, with motion and night vision. After spending $200 on one and it running off your wifi and batteries for the next ten or so years, you have to pay at least $3 a month, $30 a year for it to do what you want. With that you get short term cloud storage. But my frustration comes in when Ring says it works fine without being on their plan. It doesn't. Motion detection drops off. When someone rings the doorbell, opening the app and connecting to the unit, nis delayed and often times the person is no longer in front of the camera by the time it connects. Which means you have a $200 pain in the ass not doing what you want it to. Even though a ten year outlook on this would be about $500, I would almost rather pay that up front and have independent full function, than get trickle charged on it. And, these things lasting ten years it unlikely. Hell, I want Elon Musk to make one with a feature that will let you aim and shoot a taser at someone if they try to take a package. I'll pay on that plan. For self monitoring, I would go with Arlo Pro 2. I like some Zmodo stuff too. Don't overlook smoke detectors connected to a system. How these things aren't mandatory to be connected to a network blows my mind. What good is having one go off when no one is home and not notified? Worst case is it goes off, you get notified and call the fire department, and it ends up being a false call. I don't know of any cases of that, but that would seems to be your worse case. Of course, there would be a cost from the fire department for showing up. But it beats your house burning down if they can save it.
