  1. I used an Escalade unit on my 2000 trans am and it fit fine.
  2. Racing junk is the devil, it will eat hours of your time even when you're not looking to buy because of all the cool stuff on there.

  4. How to piss off so many people with one car http://www.dragzine.com/news/wild-hybrid-jacey-grants-2jz-powered-porsche-924-drag-car/
  5. Rode in this car last weekend, it's a rowdy bitch :fuckyeah:
  6. https://www.racingjunk.com might be a good place to search too. If we can ever get out of this city living hell I hope to get a trailer too. The fact I can't park a trailer on my own well kept property in Columbus in an acceptable way is just stupid

  8. Just wrote a story on this car, very impressive for what it is. These will be eight-second factory cars with a few bolt ons and a tune. Now, there's no way in HELL I would be going that quick/fast without a roll cage, but that's just me...
  9. I left the corporate world to do what I love, it's scary as hell. What I was doing was dry, soul sucking, full of dumb corporate people, but it was steady and insurance was affordable. I could be making more money in corporate world, but I get to do cool race car stuff now to pay my mortgage and that's okay. You know how miserable I was and trying to find a new gig, you really can't buy happiness in work. If you can keep your bills paid do what makes you happy.
  10. 2008 2500 Silverado with the 6.5 foot bed.
  11. Ended up scoring a nice used roll up from a CR homeboy. Now I just need to seel this hard cover I have
  12. So the tow pig currently has a hard top tonneau cover and I want to ditch it. What roll up Tonneau covers are you guys using or have info on? I was looking at Gator but wasn't sure what other options there are out there.
  13. The owner did a video of the first startup and idle on Facebook, mother of god that thing sounds pissed off. Something about a ProCharger with a gnarly cam and zoomies that just sounds like " I'm here to fuck your wife, drink your whiskey, and date your daughter"
  14. This car is going to be big old Oprah tits awesome when it hits the track. That 481x engine with that blower at that weight is going to FLY http://www.dragzine.com/news/dragzine-exclusive-tim-essick-unveils-new-2018-outlaw10-5-mustang/
  15. This truck is just nuts and it has a great story. http://www.dragzine.com/features/car-features/family-ford-joe-fladds-turbocharged-1971-ford-f100/
  16. We've raced with Randy for a few years on the NMCA tour and I've always loved his car. For such a big boat this thing will get down for sure. He doesn't have the money to really be a threat in the class, but he wins a round or two at each event and has a blast racing. http://www.dragzine.com/features/eye-storm-randy-dolenseks-seven-second-mercury-cyclone/
  17. If you want some magazine coverage let me know, our road racing title would be all over this
  18. Okay, I'll get some stuff purchased and hit you up. This should be a 6 pack or less job
  19. Would I be able to plug the fans into something like this, then plug them into some connector on the power supply to get juice? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078M1KF2R/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B078M1KF2R&pd_rd_wg=m1G3z&pd_rd_r=D6HT6797P9AS1S4CDRG6&pd_rd_w=utfVl I just want to be sure that I'm spinning the fans to their max CFM rating with enough juice to get the job done.
  20. Well bathroom fans are out. The price point for one that I know is brushless and moves enough air doesn't make sense. The next option is going to be computer case fans, I just need to figure out how to wire them up. I thought about converting some to be USB powered, but I don't know if that will have enough juice to spin the fan hard enough to move the air. After I get the fan situation figured out the rest of this will fall into place pretty easy.
  21. The power supply will be mounted away from the air flow so that shouldn't be an issue. All of the air, paint, and fumes will be sucked through at least one filter and through the fans in the rear of the booth. My plan is to use a similar design to the pre-made booths and combine it with a DIY type setup. I'm going to check out a couple of big box stores tonight to see what kinds of fans they have.
  22. I'm not worried about the fan getting coated, I'll have a good filter in place. What kind of power supply would I need to get a couple of fans and some LEDs going? If I go this route I kind of have a plan in my mind on how to route everything.
  23. I thought it was first too, until I saw the results from those who used them. Even on rattle can paint jobs it helps to eliminate stuff getting into the paint on the body. I really don't want to have to sand out dust and other imperfections going forward. Honestly this is by far one of the more relaxing and stimulating things I've done as a hobby.
  24. Based on the size of the booth I'm going to build I calculated it out to around be at least 100 CFM of air that needs to be moved. I'm really thinking about making this even simpler by using a large clear storage tote as the main booth so when it's not in use I can pack in my fan assembly inside with the fan and hose. I'll probably add some cheap LED lights to the inside too.
  25. It's not the paint that's the problem, it's the fumes from what I understand. I saw those plans in my research and they aren't bad, but most of the DIY builds I saw CensorTube all use a system where the fan pulls from the back.
