  1. So I'm looking at a small project for my scale model car building hobby. I am kicking around building my own airbrush spray booth to do painting in. I can pick one up off of Amazon for $90 or less, but the motors in the fans are brushed. I want to get a brushless setup so I can shoot non-acrylic paints if needed and reduce the risk of things going kaboom. I've been trying to do some research and the results aren't 100% clear, but are bathroom exhaust or computer case fans brushless? I could possibly build something using these or other ventilation type fans. Does anybody have experience with ventilation fans like this?
  2. That won't get you likes on snapchat or twitter. When I worked in the legal field many of the younger people I had to deal with had that entitled mentality, it's only gotten worse over the years.
  3. They need to dig up some better trends to bring back than this. I was always a fan of the gallon milk challenge, butt chugging, and repeating jack ass stunts.

  5. So what you're saying is that the mainstream media is reporting something that's not 100% true?

  7. They got this crazy voodoo lock up technology that allows them to lock a converter up when they want, dumps to help spool turbos on the line, all kinds of stuff. Its all about how they can bring the power in smash it to the track.
  8. The back half split for that pass was 1.5 seconds, that means he covered 300 feet in less than 2 seconds.
  9. They aren't making any additional power, it's all about using the converter and transmission technology that M&M has developed. The lock-up converters and how they work with the transmissions is how they put all 4,000 horsepower down.
  10. These cars are making 4,000 horsepower and just getting that to the track is crazy. Doing it on a radial is more impressive because how the tire and suspension work. With a slick you want some spin and wheel speed, with a radial you want that bitch to dead hook and stay hooked. So, if the slick starts to spin you can pedal it to save it, the radial comes unhooked it's over. Keeping that tire planted as the suspension tries to seperate is amazing.
  11. Broken hand, broken wrist, broken fingers that's it. Frank's a great guy and it sucks to see that happen. Chassis guy did his job on that car for sure...
  12. To watch this happen last night back to back was just nuts. I've seen this record change a few times in person, but never thought it would get this quick, hell someone might run in the 3.50s this weekend. To put this in perspective these cars are running as quick, or quicker than a Pro Mod on double the tire and less weight. Micke's car is an older car too, it started life as a VIN tagged car. http://www.dragzine.com/news/three-second-home-run-derby-radials-sweet-16/
  13. I've seen tons of LS swaps done on these, but it's nice to see a Coyote go in one. That engine is a great platform for sure http://www.turnology.com/news/coyote-swap-makes-bmw-ultimate-driving-machine/
  14. We did part of the broadcast from the Dig Night street race at NRG Stadium a couple of years ago, that was a total shit show on so many levels, and it even had some "organization" to it. 1. The parking lot is going to be WAY short for fast cars. You need lots of real estate for a "safe" shutdown. 2. The surface is going to be way to bumpy, worse than a road. It might be fine for the cone dodgers, but you try to put a race car down that surface that doesn't like bumps bad stuff will happen. 3. Facebook has already killed this. All these mouth breathing, vape sucking, cheeto eating "racers" are already going there to test and the weather isn't even good yet. 4. The city of Columbus will shut this down because the NIMBYs don't want it.
  15. Street races in stadium parking lots don't work, trust me. I mean, the idiots in the 614 Meats Facebook groups could do it because they have slow junk mostly, but I wouldn't take anything quick down that surface.
  16. Bingo, YouTube has slowly been putting the screws to their "community" more and more. Facebook already dropped the hammer to get more money and their algorithm is a moving target. We are doing our stuff on YouTube for free, but are using a different model than others. That's due to the fact we don't have the money that TEN/Motortrend has so we are being creative. Many forms of traditional media are dead, they just don't know it yet. Print being the next big one to fall. We have killed all our print magazines because it will be gone in 5-10 years.
  17. All a money grab for them, this is just the first step.
  18. I've had to sit on these since November and have a ton more that will be used in other articles. It was an insane scene, to say the least, it's where professional wrestling meets racing for sure. It's great for the sport to get new people interested like this. http://www.dragzine.com/race-coverage/street-outlaws-no-prep-kings-visits-beech-bend-raceway/
  19. Woah, didn't know this was some meet the press high level talk in here. I'll let you guys get back to it...
  20. Not really, I just get tired of the total crap that is put out there. My dad was over this past weekend and he loves to watch Fox News, it's obvious they have their own agenda. My wife loves her some CNN so she can get her Trump bashing porn fix, it's just Fox News on a different side. I'm over here just trying to watch cat videos and buy race car parts because shit is going to burn either way. Care to pick at me anymore? My entire view on the "political system" of this country has soured greatly with this past election. It's turned into that Will Ferrel move "The Election"...
  21. Not better than anybody, just pointing out the insanity that grips this country. I see it from both sides, the total bullshit that comes from some people on the left and right just blows my mind. My current favorite are the right wing idiots that think the .gov is going to take all your guns away. Ain't going to happen modern America so people just need to calm their tits over that bullshit.
  22. What it looks like when people argue about politics online these days
