Yeah, I was thinking about getting a couple spares of levers, pegs, shifters etc, just in case they are minor and that's all I need to replace. So since there's not as much transforming as i thought, then what the fuck do you have to do to make it a racing bike? I know suspension and everything above but what else do you change?

plastics are up in the air at the moment. I'm thinking about getting them just to make it official, but i'm not sure haha that's really it though? just the stuff to safety wire?

I went up to Mid O in May for two days on my Daytona and absolutely loved it. WAY more fun than on my 636 I had. That bike was just a little too big for me(frame wise). Although, this time around, I kind of got sucked into not enjoying the street as much as the track. I was wondering how to go about making it a track bike. It's got some dings and scratches right now which doesn't bother me one bit. With that being said, I think this would be a great time to get inside and know all the other little things about my bike. So my question is, how do I go about this? I don't need to make it a racing bike. but i figure making it set up for intermediate if i decide to jump into the chaos from time to time. It will be a slow transformation so I can really get a feel for it and figure out what I can tweak. any advice or really any knowledge would be appreciated!

Kyle doesn't have a website due to people probably being able to copy and paste pics or whatever, or at least that what i think i heard him say today(which is was in the first garage where lunch was and etc) The weather was awesome! i'm so glad it didn't rain. today was better over all though, not as many riders went down as they did on sunday. Yeah. I think i'm going either way to get the experience. Hopefully the weather will hold off and rain after. they are calling 40% with scattered showers...which equals...they don't know hahaha

I had an 05 636(zx6r) and it was awesome as a first bike. Granted it was a little big for my size, so I moved to a daytona and it is fucking awesome! When I got my ninja, I bought it for 4500 and I believe I sold it for 4200, maybe it was 4000 and it had just over 10,000 miles. As everyone else is saying, be patient and you get get a good deal with 4-5k on a 06-07+ on really any bike. it's just a matter of looking a shit ton

The other thing you'll need to do is tape your headlights, tail light etc and disconnect them, in the fuse box. There is a sticky thread in the track day section and gives a general check list for stuff to take too

I'd email them a copy but also have a copy with you that way you are covered. That's what I did last year and did again. As far as checking in, like everyone said. Same area, take your bike, guy checks it yada yada and your off to the novice cave and out to the track. I'm pretty pumped about this again. I look forward to meeting you guys!

I went in xenia (green county) twice, Both times were late may and clear out. I would do it again in a heartbeat though. I did an tandem both times. First time, I think we jumped from around 10,000 and the second time I went, we jumped from about 12,500ft. Big difference between the two haha. I have both my videos from it too!

I'm buying tires this week and taking them with me, because i know i'll need new tires put on for day two

hey now, just because i'm running novice doesnt mean i'll crash haha yeah. I figure there's not much you can do about it but deal with it. but doesn't hurt to ask!

I didn't see a post/thread anywhere regarding track days in the rain, but correct me if i'm wrong. Any reccomendations as far as how to go about not being cold with only one suit, pair of gloves, and boots and nothing to dry them out, not that there would be time except for the lunch break. Not only that, but just riding in general. I know they'd probably go over that stuff if it happens, but i'd like to get a general idea anyways.

Hahaha yeah I know. I had a lot of fun last year when i went. Now granted it was one day so I learned a lot and my last run went way smoother. Hopefully on Monday I'll get that damn leap frog exercise right. Some how I manage to fuck that up every time Hopefully the rain will stay away for us. But we'll see.

For the past 3 weeks my bike has been in the shop and finally fixed her all up. Went through a little bike withdraw and rode all day yesterday and rode to work today and a little bit after. So I'm filling up my gas tank since I nearly ran out....again(you'd think I'd listen since the last time I ran out, haha). As i'm filling up I see this goose going about it's business picking in the grass and I finish up. Start the bike, as I'm on my way out, what do you know....that mother fucker flew at me and smacked the back of my helmet and attacked me! Of course i'm in 2nd gear going about 10 mph so I can't do anything about it. I finally stopped due to traffic. Round two, ding ding ding. that fucker comes flying at me head on and nearly is on my tank trying to peck my face. ridiculous. that was my daily ride.

I got the part i needed overnighted and the bike should be out of the shop next week. I'm good to go for mid o. whoo hoo!

So I might have to reschedule my track day because this damn Daytona is being a BITCH and every part is back ordered until the 27th of this month. So keeping this in the back of my head, but how soon should I and can I change my dates for my track day? I know there is no refunding, but Can I change my dates since i'm doing a two day?
