  1. It would have been alot smarter to make sure you were covered before going to that extreme. Just doesnt seem logical.

A friend of mine set his old car on fire one summer in hops to get the insurance $$$ so he could put a down payment on a newer car. He drove it around, and got it nice and hot then poured fuel in the intake and set it on fire. He first called a tow truck and told him his car broke down to make it seem legit. Then he called the fire dept about 5 minute later saying the car was on fire. Had it all planned out.....EXCEPT, his insurance didn't cover Fire or Theft. Hahahah. True Story! I drove him around a lot that summer.

  2. I actually broke out the old Boy Scout hand book. I haven't been camping since I was a kid (10-12 years old). I'm actually looking forward to it. My G/Fs family "Camps" but they have huge RV's and you have neighbors, to me, that's not camoing. Mohican does looks nice.
  3. I'm looking for a good palce to camp. Not this kind of camping...

But something like this would be nice....

I will have a tent, not a pop up or RV, I’d like to sort of ruff it. Also if there is a place to Canoe or do other things while I camp that that would be a plus and if it’s with in an hour or 2 drive from Columbus that would be nice too. Any suggestions?

  4. Was this the one that was being advertised as a $199/mo 3 year lease with $0 down?

Sort of... There is a lot hidden in that ad. Honestly I just wanted to test drive them and had no intention of buying one. I was also looking at the legacy and a mazda 3. I even drove a new GTI but the most fun to drive was the impreza IMO, although the Legacy was very nice, it was used and had 30K miles on it for just a little less then the Impreza. And since it's just a DD, I didn't feel the need to look at STi's or Legacy GT's as they would probably get me in trouble, that and insurance is a few $$$ more.

  5. Is that paint metallic?

    :)

Yes sir! :D But it's goanna be a pain to keep clean

Collections are fun. Buy one and pay it off. Repeat process...

    Mods to your GTP?

In her prime she had 3.69 gears, a 3500 satll converter, Stage 1 cam, headers, full exhaust, GEN V supercharger, upgraded valve train (titanum retainers, stronger springs) 1.6 roller rockers, tune, intake and running about 15 PSI. She ran 12.6-12.7's @ 112-114mph. If I had to guess it made about 330 at the wheels. BUT... after the 5 transmistion I said screw it. Now it's just got a few goodies on it, could maybe muster a mid 13 second pass.

  6. I use to get hammered like that a few years ago. I just backed off for a while. Now when I go out the alcohol doesn't seem as tempting or cool. So I have a few beers MAYBE a shot and I'm done. But good luck either way with your decision, but I think some of us have been there.
  7. It looks very well done. Fuck what everyone else is saying, as long as you're happy with it that's all that matters. The tattoo guys love when people come in and get something different vs the same old shit. Glad you're happy with it...but really with the "Thug Life"?
  8. Woot! Great choice. :) You should bring it to a RallyCross and get sideways on some dirt! :)

I'm really tempted too, I actually thought about it, but I doubt it would do that well.

Im glad to see more people on here and taking the leap to the real "other side" that body style is still growing on me, but compared to the older styles drivability wise the 09 is better IMO

    Good Choice enjoy it!!

    Thanks!

Looks nice, are they under $20k?

Yep 17,900 is what I managed it for Wooow

hmmm now that you have a daily driver...start modding your gp again dammit lol

I'm done with that car. When I turn 25 and the insurance drops (next year) I'm thinking Vette.... But actually now that I have the subie, I could imagine some real fun with AWD great handling and 400 AWHP! :D

    auto? check

    non-turbo? check

    :(

Yeah, the manuals are actually cheaper, but I didn't want to shift a DD.
