I'll race you from a slow jog... 4 roll? I’ve got smaller shoes that are better for my top end runs, they kind of suck from a stop.

  2. as far as foot racing goes i am up to the challenge....before i fucked up my knee last yr and tore my mcl i think i could have beaten all yall.....

Wow there are even excuses in foot racing now... My cars running rich and has a weak clutch but I'll run ya. I tore my mcl and lost my big toe... :p J/K

I'd be down for a shot at the foot racing crown too!

  4. That's awesome! Bring him to the cook out Saturday, that will get him use to people it might be a hand full though. Good work, my G/F is always wanting us to "foster" a new dog but to her the word foster means keep forever and we already have 4 dogs so no thanks. now we're just in th business of watching other peoples dogs for $$$ not a bad gig actually.
  5. Nothing major on these cars other then the Trans, some common but minor problems are…

    1. The HUD (if you get one) has a weak solder joint in the circuit board that can cause dimming issues on the display. That can be fixed by re-soldering it (30 minute fix).

    2. Also the driver info center (DIC) will start to fade over time. Mine went out at around 130K miles.

    3. I've had to replace both front wheel bearings at around 115K miles which is common with most from my understanding.

    4. Some people have had issues with the driver’s side door hinge sagging and causing it to a rub against the fender.

    5. The coolant temp sensor can get gunked thanks to the anti freeze which will throw a check engine light. The sensor is easy to get to and easy to replace another 20-30 minute fix but if the coolant system is properly cared for you shouldn’t have that problem.

    6. The headlights get foggy as shit and start to look like ass. Not really a performance issue, but it will make your headlights dimmer.

    7. There was a recall on them that you may want to ask about. The rear valve cover gasket would leak and drip oil down into the heat shield and potentially start a fire. The recall was several months ago, so if you get it from a dealer it should be fixed, but defiantly ask anyway.

Hummm, other then that they are really good cars. The 3800 motor runs strong they’re good DD’s but I wouldn’t do anything more then a CAI an exhaust and maybe a tune. (Dyno Brian is the MAN with 3800’s although he hates to admit it). Parts are pretty cheap (brake pads, rotors etc…) and they’re pretty easy to work on if anything goes wrong. I hope that helps, good luck!

  6. i didnt even really chuckle...at all...

the car towing the bike and the bed held by a scissor jack werent bad

X 2... They just reminde me of the stupid chain emails my mom sends me thinking their funny, clever and witty... not too funny, but good effoert.

  7. Mine has been beatin on the streets, taken to the track a few hundre times, a slipping or fucked up trans... but the motor is out of an 04 and still runs strong. Currentl has an upgraded valve train (1.9 roller rockers, titanium retiners 105# valve springs new guides)the body has 155K miles on it new brake pads, rotors, calipers and lines, control arms and ball joints. I'll sell it for hummm 12K hahahaha. J/K, unless you're dumb enough to buy it then...
  8. I don't know how the Air Force is compared to the Navy, but a friend of mine is in the Navy and all he does is take pictures for their newspaper. He gets to go all over the place and take pictures, he jokes about how easy he has it. Right now his leaving port from Carolina (I think) and they'll travel all the way down the coast of North and South America back up the other side and to San Diego. If it’s anything like the Navy then I’d say you’re in good shape.
  9. Maybe he stuck that GT500 setup in there and it's a sleeeeeperrrrr.

YESSSssss that's what I thoight too and it probably puts out 213 HP!! BOSS

    fail.

Volvo or not, they're baller as Fuck!

FYI ricer mufflers sound awesome on a big block chevy. you might see it on a few cars at good guys this weekend.

Really, hummm interesting. I don't know if this is a true statement or not but it sounds crazy enough to work.

    Who are you quoting exactly?

" I thought the same thing too" and "You can quote me on it"
  10. Yep, I heard this on the radio yesterday around 4:30ish. I thought, "Boy am I glad I don't live out east." It's sounded fake. A police chase/ crash and shooting… then Megatron transformed and engaged in an epic battle with the CPD, all the time they were trying to land a jet on the freeway…. Okay well some of that didn’t happen, but damn talk about a traffic nightmare.
  11. What about kicking it old-school (Puerto Rican style) and doing a Mazda R100. They're real popular in PR because they're cheap, plentiful (there, not so much here though), light and RWD. A guy I used to work with brought one home to Ohio that ran low 10's on a very mild turbo rotary engine. Not sure how hard they are to find here though.

Edit: I just looked up the weight. They're right at 2000 lbs dry. I would think you could easily hack another few hundred pounds off, maybe more if there's room in the budget for fiberglass parts.

  12. Tube chassis Colt?

What about an MR2, I think they may be a little too heavy (2,800 pounds) it would be hard to cut out that much weight. Sounds like you need some sort of kit car to really hit your weight goals. A yugo maybe...but then the $$$ side come into it. Hummm, I'm trying to find a list of the lightest weighing cars but no lock so far.

  13. I don't know why, but I've watched this at least 10 times today and I still laugh, the people recording in the backround are funny too. Then to heard the thud as she falls. Hahahahah!! And the horse just sneezes right in her face, like he turns away then right back to her to sneeze Bwhahah, then her little scream then the thud.
  14. Not many and hardly worth mentioning but here they are …

    85 Toyota Carola (1st car)

95 Mazda 626 (Worst car, nothing but problems ended up totaling it)

96 Dodge Avenger (Most reliable car, I should have never sold it)

98 Dodge Dakota (NO, I won’t help you move!)

01 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (fastest car 12.7xx @ 107 and 330 WHP)

09 Subaru Impreza (Most fun to drive)

  15. Some kid did something similar several years ago and thru a good sized rock (about the size of a softball) off an overpass. It's smashed through the windshield and pretty much shattered this guys face…. I was a kid once, but I can honestly say the worst shit I ever did was TP houses and knock and run when we lived in apts.
