  1. My Para P14-45 jams constantly. I'm working on it. Those details are on another forum.
  2. Most service writers are douchebags. Upselling is a part of the business but that there is straight fraud.
  3. That's my next 45. In the meantime I have a big shiny expensive toy of a 1911 that is the second most unreliable POS I have ever shot. At least it's purdy.
  4. Might mean more $ at your next job if you can put it on the resume though.
  5. Those shirts are pretty cool. I think they'd be cooler if the text *only* showed up on the scanner. HOWEVER, I don't think the fourth amendment applies here. They're not grabbing you out of public and searching you. They're saying, "IF you want to get on this plane, we're going to search you." No different than a private business having the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. IMHO. The thing that pisses me off about airport security is that the only Quiznos around here is in the Columbus airport, and you can't get to it without a plane ticket. FML.
  6. Off topic, but just noticed this. I always told people when I was a mechanic, "The difference between blue collar and white collar work is whether you wash your hands before or after you take a piss."
  7. One time at Vance the guy in the Glock hat and the Glock shirt convinced me that the Glock was a superior firearm to the Springfield XD. He also wrote Jessie Abbate's name on the back of his business card for me to Google later. Anyhow, despite his obvious bias, I agree with him. However, I would not buy one in 45 due to the "KaBoom" stuff I have read on the internets. Your opinion may vary... I ended up with a 1911 that day...

    Wtb: 08+ 600rr

Not the Craigslist ad, I thought "they" encompassed everybody trying to sell a white 07 for $5500.
  9. I thought every track day at Midohio, Nelson and Beaverun was an Ohioriders track day. I don't think there are as many track riders on here as it seems, and damn near every date gets posted with a handful of people going. As for an exclusive event, I'm sure numbers are lacking. Nelson surface sucks balls. +1. Any animosity towards STT unintentionally conveyed in my posts is a direct result of my abandonment issues.

    Eating Alone

I'm the same way. Fast food I'll hit the drive thru and eat in my truck if I'm by myself. I could see myself having a steak sitting at the bar of a place like Texas Roadhouse though. At least there you've got TV and a bartender to BS with. Sitting in a restaraunt you just have other random people to look at, who are probably wondering who that guy is by himself looking at them.
  11. I respect that the guy set out to build an electric bike to compete in motorcycle racing, not just electric motorcycle racing. Some good interviews on roadracerx.com with him. Latest (I think) interview: http://www.roadracerx.com/features/between-the-races/between-the-races-chip-yates/ More: http://www.roadracerx.com/sitemap/search/?cx=014078402921648249999%3Atjr5f8botpm&cof=FORID%3A11&ie=UTF-8&q=chip+yates#1036
  12. Not knocking it as a daily driver, that was just in reference to the ENDURANCE RACING suggestion. Sustained high revs tend to find the weak points in a motor real quick.
  13. Military refuses people for traffic tickets?! There goes my backup plan...
  14. Your "winter project" is done already? My "winter projects" usually don't get started until about April when I realize it's time to ride again.

    Hi-Point C9

But I'm sure "16 in the detachable box magazine and one in the chamber" would not have reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart[1] 1. "Hot 100". Billboard. 1994-07-02. I hope you guys are taking this as the humor intended.
  16. Damn, you guys are rocking out for 9 days straight? I'll make it out in the morning sometime.

    Hi-Point C9

Excellent point. I actually loved my 1985.5 Ford Escort L. Good thing it spontaneously combusted before I spent any money "modding" it. On the other end most of my initial gun purchases have been higher-end, and I'm sort of disappointed in all of them.
  18. This is awesome. Thank you for listening to customer feedback.

    Hi-Point C9

I'd bash the Hi-Point if my Para that I paid 7.5 times that for didn't malfunction what seems like once per clip*. * I'm gonna make it a point to say clip from now on just to piss off the gun snobs.

    Today's Problems

Moar fear caused by media sensationalization of shit that doesn't matter.
  21. At least if you had it you could sell it to pay your lawyer fee when you got the ticket anyway.
  22. Nice to hang out with you guys - have to do it again some time.
  23. I so want to try this due to all the hype, but I'm a bit scared because I'm a bit of a lightweight these days...
