  1. Hey "Prez," Any inside info on the "Frequent Riders Loyalty Program" as mentioned in Track Talk? I'd like to preregister for a few days at the off-season discount rate if I can push a day back when the weather looks bad.
  2. New update on Bluegrass! From http://www.drivebluegrass.com: "We have finished paving the base coat of the track and are on schedule for a Spring 2009 opening." You heard it here first!
  3. I have Time Warner Roadrunner Turbo and I experience issues way worse than yours. Apparently they just do a bad job of supporting customer load in my area; it runs "OK" in the off-hours and a technician has been out to verify that there is nothing wrong with my particular connection.
  4. When I was in driver's ed the instructor told us that dogs were legally considered property, and if you hit one it was property damage, but we could smoosh cats all we want. The flipside to dogs being property is that the owners are responsible for anything they do. I don't even know if this is true, I just thought the smooshing cats part was funny. That is the word he used.
  5. Had I had more notice I might have checked it out...
  6. Thanks for wasting a large chunk of my time. Here's a montage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpNsuZixhF4
  7. You want a four stroke auto-clutch: XR/CRF50, XR/CRF70, KLX/DRZ110. Yamaha makes some TTR options too, but the electric start is frustrating when the battery doesn't hold a charge and there's no kicker. Not sure how big a 7 year old is, but I would guess a 70 would probably be the best fit for now. These things hold their value too, sure kids outgrow them but there are always new kids, and these things are pretty bulletproof. Just stay away from LBTS adult pit bike toys, and chinese junk.
  8. The kill switch is sticky? Or the filter? Is that a joke?
  9. I don't know about that. I finished school working full time and taking classes mostly M-Th 6-10p. After I graduated it felt like I retired - I didn't know what to do with myself. What are you doing anyway? I thought there was a post sometime ago that you finished your MS.
  10. Your ratio is correct. If you're a newb putting around on a 2 stroke motocross bike there is a good chance you've fouled the plug. Get a new plug and I bet it fires.
  11. Actually, if you watch the other videos, it turns out that no one ever threatened Cody. The school administration cited a previous year incident where some mexican students were threatened for waving mexican flags on Cinco De Mayo as the basis for their "no flags" policy. Anyhow, much respect for that young man who seems very respectful and handles himself extremely well. As for the "bikers", meh...
  12. You boys got rhymes for days. Halfway to your money-for-nothing dreams.
  13. I find this neither catastrophic nor epic.
  14. A friend had the same issue. In high school he worked the McDonald's drive-thru in Middleburg Hts. People would ask, "Where are you from?" He'd tell them "Down south." They'd say, "I knew it, where abouts?" He'd reply, "Strongsville."

    Good deal?

Not a great deal. You could probably get one new at Vance for that price minus the magazines.
  16. Northern. I did live in Cleveland suburbs for most of 28 years.
  17. No, I haven't. If you say it's that crazy, I'll take your word for it. This is another thread I wish I hadn't posted in. For whatever reason last night I took offense to the villification of another random "cager" on what appears to be rather weak evidence. I'm over it, carry on, be safe out there.
  18. Likewise. What I meant was if I can't see that it's clear, I wouldn't be there, but in the context of that picture, you have no idea where that road comes from or goes.
  19. I don't know where that's at, but honestly, if I have line of sight I'll use whatever part of the road I damn well please. Around here the height of the crops has a major effect on my speed in some sections.

    Wtb: 08+ 600rr

I'll put my 07 back to minty stock white/silver and sell it to you for $5500. Adult ridden, never raced.
  21. Chill out. They're assembling there for the Indian market. It's called localization.
  22. Forgot indoor: http://www.ohiomotocrossarena.com/Ohio_Motocross_Arena/Welcome.html http://www.bighornindoormx.com/
  23. I don't think anywhere is as close as you'd like, and most places are pretty close to closing for the season. For MX: www.briarcliffmx.com http://pushetacreekmx.com/ For trails: http://www.waynenationalforest.com/wayneatv.htm For both: www.crowcanyonmx.com Just a few randoms. I don't know of much closer than that. Some more MX up by Cleveland and probably some more trail stuff out by Crow Canyon. Maybe some other people know of some more places down south, I've never headed that way...
