  1. Agreed - I had a blast today & met a lot of cool people. I wish I could've stayed for the last round. My riding did definitely suck less on the way home, though. So no one's posted video of CW flogging Monica yet?
  2. Very sorry for your loss Bee!!
  3. Not entirely; BruhBruh gets free surgery and ICU visit on our dime, while Billy Blackburn Jr gets to continue wasting oxygen and whine his sob story about poor, victimized Bruh Bruh on Facebook.
  4. There's also searchtempest.com, that pulls in both CL and ebay.
  5. Fortunately we still keep it pretty controlled in the US - someone getting paid for an organ is pretty likely to be less than forthcoming about their medical/social history...
  6. Note to self - avoid any travel in these areas today.... Wonder if they have seminars on stealing from passengers, how to damage aircraft doing 'safety screenings', etc.
  7. Saw this statement this morning: http://www.libertyfoundation.org/index.html
  8. Fuel pump is my thought too; you've confirmed that you have spark. Apples to oranges, but I've had cars die on me suddenly like this.
  9. I just saw a stat that we're now down to 11 airworthy. There's a restoration going on at Grimes Urbana to make another flyer. The Liberty Belle's main door was a piece of history in it's own right - autographs from vets all over it.
  10. Looks like Miguel made the VFRD classifieds members-only Not much info in the ad, just: but worth looking at for sure.
  11. Just realized these are still sitting in the spare room - $125 shipped
  12. I was thinking about your pics when I saw this yesterday, couldn't remember which B-17 you were with. Damn shame, but amazing job that they got it down on the wheels and got everyone out.
  13. Can't help you on the SV, but this http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/67034-2001-vfr-3500-ohio/page__pid__784702#entry784702 just popped up on VFRD this morning.
  14. Actually the sheriff's deputy they had on the news specifically mentioned she was wearing a horse collar. Tragic...
  15. We had a rather ugly software implementation recently, and I was planning to wear my helmet and jacket into a meeting 'just in case things got ugly'. Sadly my CIO saw me in the hall and made me go change. Something about 'professionalism'. But there are these two women I see every morning walking in the basement. Without fail, I'm carrying helmet, jacket, and tankbag, and they still ask 'did you RIDE today?!' like it's amazing that you can ride if it's not bright sunshine and 70-80.
  16. Not what I wanted to see !! We used to work together back in the day - prayers for a speedy recovery, Jeff!!!!
  17. Assume that they all either actively want to kill you, or are on the phone while doing makeup with a rodent dog sitting on their lap and will kill you by ignorance or oblivious-ness(I actually saw just this perfect storm of stupidity come left of center at me this week, debated turning around and kicking her door in) Think about lane position/visibility, don't overlap with cagers, leave yourself an escape route, don't ride in the center lanes if you can avoid it. This also applies at stoplights - position so you can dive to the side and lane split if needed, keeping it in gear while stopped and watching your mirrors for fucktards. Also, after reading the hilljack roadrage thread, maybe add accessories like this guy did:
  18. My stickdogs. Orion, the white with brown spots, came from a kill shelter soon before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He gets along with everyone and everything, from my kids' hamsters to deer in the backyard - just kind of wanders out to say hi to them thru the fence once in awhile. No idea how old he is, but he's slowing down to the point where we almost need to walk them separately:(. Lucy was a racer, only ran 8 races before the track discarded her, won and placed third in the last two (WTF??). I've only seen her at full speed once; pretty impressive (46mph on dad's radar gun).
  19. I feel compelled to put this up now:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eamnTyfkUBY IR a moron so I can't remember how to embed. edit - it embedded itself... cool...
  20. OK I get home, start drinking, and wonder why has CarWhore still not posted that Sky is at his house? WTF??!!! This is just painful for a drunk-ass dog lover to read... Oh and regarding huskys off leash- my only experience was watching a neighbor's Husky back in the day. For some reason my wife trusted her off-leash for about .0006 seconds-the two of us plus a few other people spent about two hours running around South Euclid chasing the damn thing. At least greyhounds eventually get scared, start bleeding, hide and wait for someone to rescue them. This thing just kept going til someone tackled her.
  21. Dude, when are you moving up here? I can't wait to have a beer with you.... Back to crazy cager fucks (yes, also drunk as hell, bad week, I think this is the first time I used the F word on OR) most near-death experience I had on a bike was with my old 500 Interceptor, when some crazy-ass woman in a Blazer complete with Pooh Bear sunshade in the side window started chasing me on 480. This was like 1992, so maybe she was just a MILF who thought I was hot or something, but I remember flogging the crap out of it, and bailing from the left lane onto Lee Rd at some pucker-factor speed, looking back and seeing a bunch of tire smoke from her trying to follow me. Lately most of my fucktard-avoidance involves SUV-driving women on cellphones threatening by ignorance rather than intent. And WTF with driving with your rodent-dog on your lap!?? Definitely assume that cagers either are actively trying to kill you, or are on the phone and won't notice when they run you over. Edit: major props to F250 guy for helping you out!!!!
  22. Holy crap, I read 4 pages, go walk the dogs for an hour and there's 14 pages on this thread!! I was thinking he'd have PM'ed CarWhore, who would report back at about 4:00 that he was back home with the dog. Why has this not happened yet? Pet ownership isn't an investment where you can expect to get your money back. My dogs are healthy, but they run into things and get hurt (greyhounds, canine version of literbikes), eat food, need Frontline, etc. Ringo, stop fighting back & trying to recoup your losses; you'll want the extra karma points someday. If you really can't care for her, you need to focus on finding her a good home, and just eat the monetary losses.
  23. +1 - I was in Austria and Slovenia several years ago, just amazing. Looking forward to more pics to rub it in more...
