  1. Nice job as usual Doc! Probably not much footage of me riding, if any, but still looking forward to part two.
  2. If you want power, I know where there is a 2001 low mileage (less than 5K) ZX12R, that can probably be had for under 5K cash.
  3. I have encountered a semi 4 times on this road (US129), the last being the closest call, a last minute warning from another motorcycle prevented a bad situation for me, one turn away, who knows the outcome if no warning was given.
  4. It is a fun road, but far from the best in my opinion...Some exploring is necessary...
  5. My thought process on a trip like this is, get to the main destination first and fastest, once there you can alter plans for how much time you have left for the return trip...It is very easy, for me, to get side tracked doing other things on my way, while sometimes never reaching my main destination and needing to turn around and head back due to lose of time, only on my solo rides though...The good part is, I find many good roads and neat things along the way.
  6. The NADA Tunnel is pretty neat, worth seeing for sure, some good roads in that area too, a bonus win! Devil's Triangle is best counter clockwise in my opinion, the best part is last. Sketchy roads till the last section too, the series of switchbacks always seem to be covered with stones bad. Looks like a fun trip, have fun, and ride safe!
  7. I think he was suggesting 666 pa. I might get down your way one day this weekend, see what the weather does.
  8. Same here, I am a heavyweight, and the N1K has no problems closing distances in a hurry with me on it.
  9. Coming from an F2 you might appreciate a Kawasaki N1K, a good engine with similar power to a "V", not the same, but similar. Easy to ride, and not to bad on comfort either. Keeping the CBR, you might even want to consider a "naked bike", Tuono, Z1000, Street/Speed Triple, Super Duke (awesome bike by the way)etc., and obviously being a Honda fan, the CB1000R would certainly be a great choice. Of course just my opinion, best of luck with your search.
  10. My food run, surrounded by great roads to ride. check it out: http://www.hillbillyhotdogs.com/ Maybe next year? To late in the season for me to make the Clearfield, PA run, roughly 12-16 hours round trip, depending on site seeing and road hunting.
  11. Working for the "Big G" (General Mills/Pillsbury), I am probably a good friend of yours, we don't make the coffee though.
  12. No not at all, I got the joke, and yes it is very funny!
  13. Nice to meet and ride with you and your husband. Welcome to the site!
  14. Yeah I like my salad, the burger thing was funny, I made fun of myself as soon as I scarfed it down. As I made mention to some, I am a factory worker, we train ourselves to eat fast if needed...My burger was not brought out until everyone else was already finished, so down it went. It would figure, fat guy remembered for his eating antics!
  15. My head is large and weights a lot, it gives my shoulders a rest since I have no neck!
  16. Arrived home about 8:30... Good ride, thank you!
  17. Still not home...gas and a smoke, then back at it.
  18. Running way behind trying to wake up, I should have left already.
  19. Riders heading up 71, what time are you projecting to be at the Route 30 exit?
  20. Making a decision of the three you listed there, it seems very simple to me, the Yamaha hands down!
  21. The silencer installed on the YZF probably needs repacked is all, and besides, I looked on Ebay and a new silencer for these are not much money at all new. Still think the ZX6E in Ashtabula will be a good motorcycle, who knows though, if only the seller would contact you.
