Tim you need to come try racing minis with us :)

Cheaper and less risk than racing big bikes but still the same concept. May change your perspective a bit. Racing itself is fun, but I never realized how much I still had to work on before I starting doing track related things. This all is an effort to make myself a better rider, getting to whoop on my buddies and trash talk is just an added bonus. Seat time is seat time as long as the foundations are there.

That's just it, I have very little competitive spirit when I'm on a bike. We have very different things we are looking for when we saddle up. I don't feel I need to be better or faster, not saying there isn't room for improvements just saying don't feel the need for it. When we sit in the hotel or by the camp fire at night having some drinks I like to have conversations about where we were and what we seen and where are we going next. And the added I'm glad your here to experience it with me. I can hang with some of the best when I want to but honestly I'm not out there railing it everywhere I go.

What you guys do is no doubt fun(ive said that over and over), and puts huge smiles on faces and I know it would be enjoyable but the drive in me is and always will be be. "Where can I go next"

You are forgetting about the 20+ other riders vying for that same corner at the same time.

Yeah when you actually "racing" at the track that's a different beast all together.Even then I think you have basic respect of the other riders around you that got the same training and experiences in the same control environments.  But usually you are not dealing with that just doing track days in general.

Not trying to take anything away anyone just saying the comparison we do street vs track I dumb.

  3. I can memorize turns also and keep riding the same ones over and over again and be 1000x beter at them in due time too.

On the street you have to be able to adapt to ever changing conditions. And have to leave some talent on the table for those unexpected moments. Always scanning always on alert to the ever changing conditions, terrain and obstacles.

The track you go out into a mostly controlled environment. Things seldom chage and all you have to do it hit your marks and improve your line and work on being faster.

Two totally differnt skill sets in my option.

  4. Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0 Mesh Jacket. Great condition less than 2 years old. Smoke free home. Size Large Tall.

O.R. price $70 + postage if not picked up.

Im 6'4" 240 lbs and fits perfect.
Probably one of my favorite jackets ever. Only selling because I upgraded to Klim with Goretex. And due to what I paid for (the Klim)I can't justify wearing another jacket sometimes.
Selling at less than half the price of what you can buy a brand new one for.

  5. I can honestly say there really isn't a bike out there that I'm lusting after right now. There are a few I think are cool or maybe one day might pursue. (Wing, Challenger, H2 SX, maybe a new Connie if Kawi ever retires the current one) But I'm too happy with what I have to even think of anything else as a replacement or to have a side chic.  Kinda why I sold the Z1K so soon.

  6. My newest pet peeves with the whole Cruiser culture is the stereos, they think they need stupid loud pipe then have to install even stupider louder stereos to hear it over their stupid pipes. Because they think everyone wants to hear their highway to hell album on repeat...all...fucking....day.

everyone / absolutely everyone else left

163 hp is nothing these day.... nope that’s the torque number ... ohhhh okay

Not sure why but that bike has never really impressed me. Kind of car engine stuffed into a bike so to speak.

We are going right before Christmas!   ¡No Motocicletas para una semana!

We have a Cruise just before Christmas and one in April booked. Looking to do something the end on January too because my wife will be off a couple weeks while they install a new Mammo machine at her work.

  9. Im not sure how the new systems are but the ABS on my bike is an absolute last resort measure.  The brakes act just like any other non ABS bikes brakes 99.9% of the time. But the 4 or 5 times I'm glad I had them were "oh shit" moments. Only one of those times was it because I ran out of talent. The other times were due to idiot cagers or critters that didn't stay in their lane bro. Mine dose not have TC but i can think of a couple times it would have been nice to have.

  10. I'm highly impressed. cartiage forks, adjustable rear shock, brembro brakes, cornering TC and ABS, extended reach options for tall people, few taller windscreen options on top of the already impressive engine specs. Priced right in my opinion. $22k-$28k. Future replacement for the Connie? Maybe...LOL  Only thing I see missing is top luggage. Also with a 6 gallon tank and 680 wet(full of fuel) win, win.
